Hey I know I haven't updated it's because I forgot my password. I was freaking out and what not. So anyways here's the chapter I hope you all enjoy it I worked really hard on it.
Evan POV
After a few days of training I couldn't help but feel my neck burn so badly. It was getting itchy and I couldn't stop scratching it. I kept it hidden from everyone to the point where I had to hide it with illusions.
I couldn't let everyone be bothered by what the dark marks appearing on my body meant. I looked outside my window and saw a couple of warriors being dragged back into the camp.
I finished getting dressed and walked up to Amanda, who was in charge of missions. "Another successful mission?" I asked her while strapping my belt on. "Yes your Majesty, everything is going good". Amanda turned around after I excused her and continued to give put orders.
"Castiel, status report" I placed my hands behind my back as Castiel responded "there have only been only 2 deaths in the past 5 missions during the last two weeks and 16 wounded".
"What about training? Hows that going so far?" Jason appeared behind me "Training is going good, the weakest one in the beginning, Tom I think was his name, is now at the top. He's been on two successful missions".
"This is great news, keep up the good work". Throughout the day things were busy as they were every day. After talking with the generals and Royals from other realms I went to go lay down at my office as the day turned to night.
It had been so long since I was able to act like a teenager. I sighed missing the good old days for a second. Just for a second I thought about all the hardships I had faced. I swear I was almost murdered so many times. I took a sip of water feeling my tgroat dry.
My eyes glazed over as an image swirled across my vision. A brooding figure stood across from me in the darkest part of my office. "Who are you" I asked now fully alert as I threw my chair back and stood up.
The brooding figure stood up straight and pointed to me. With a scratchy old voice she spoke words that brought terror to my soul. "When the moon is full and bright in the sky, darkness shall fall with only one question in mind, when will all kinds of evils arise".
I scrunched up my face in confusion. She groaned angrily "Dammit you really are an idiot, mother said thus would work but it doesn't, point is your fucked Evan Meridian O'Connor". Th once brooding figure was now a woman with gorgeous eyes that seemed to change color.
My eyes widened in surprise "A witch". The woman laughed as her hair danced like fire with a slight breeze. "There is a prophecy about you Evan Meridian". We waltzed in circles, trying to anticipate the next move of the other.
"I know of the prophecy witch!" I spat out. "I know about how I'm supposed to be the one to revive the Meridian Kingdom" I glared daggers at the woman who only seemed to laugh.
"Oh you are but only a child to believe something like that. Only a fool would believe that it was as simple as that, your sirens forgot to mention one little thing".
She paused for a split second "And what is that?" I lifted my head up as if balancing an apple on top of my head. "Your life will become forfeit once you win, all that you worked for will be for not, and all those mates will be gone in a flash".
I grabbed my weapon in a fit one rage and stabbed her in her chest. A cackle escaped her lips along with a wicked smile. "I've seen you live forver and let me tell you, what makes you so sure that this time won't be the same".
With that said, she vanished into a cloud of smoke. My mind swirled with thoughts that chilled me to the bone. Is there truly something I'm missing about the prophecy?
