"Remember, NEVER take the necklace off, you'll thank me later." The tall man dressed in black garments retreaded into the abyss, just before he was gone a ray of light hit his neck illuminating the silver sapphire. Within a blink of an eye he vanished into thin air. I was left alone hearing the same words over and over.
"You are closer than you think, open your eyes."
I shot up in my bed in a cold sweat. My long brown hair sat in a knot on the top of my head.
"What the actual fuck was that!?"
Who was that?
What did he mean?
And why the fucking duck was he wearing my great grandmas necklace???
I rolled out of my bed stubbled into the bathroom, my skin was paled while my hair seemed to take up a life of its own. I could just see it jumping off my head and start chasing me around like a wild puppy, or a lion. A big ferocious lion, stalking his prey, waiting to pounce. I laughed at my imagination and attempted to tame the lion on my head.
"Mom, fish and I are leaving for work!" I let out a loud whistle and out came charging a full grown German Sheppard. The two of us walked out of the silent house and down the road to the beach, where I currently work. Well technically I work below the beach, below the water, the waves, down under the beautiful sea. My best friend Montana, her abusive twin brother Spencer and I are intern marine photographers. The hot Florida sun shined brightly as I was consumed by an unimaginable heat. It was far to hot to be from the sun, I tried to breath but couldn't. I was being suffocated. I tried to look around, but my eyes started to cloud up preventing me, the only thing that was visible, was the man in black. He walked away, and within moments my lungs easily filled with oxygen and the bubble of heat surrounding me had vanished. My body grew colder.
God damn global warming, fuck off!
As I ventured closer to the to the water I grew excited also very nervous. And so was fish, I could see the desire to jump into the water with a tennis ball. I was left in the dust as my dog charged the beach. He thought it was a good idea to start snarling and growling at my partner, the one and only, the abusive Spencer.
