"What the hell happened?!"
"She was fine, and then she collapsed!"
"Why!?"
"I don't fucking care why!"
"She's your partner, start giving a shit!" Everyone went quiet, "or you can kiss your job goodbye."
"Mary, we found her camera!" That's the last thing I heard before everything went silent.
"Shh, guys she's waking up." I groaned and peeled my tired eyes open. Fish placed his head onto my hand.
"What happened?" Mary's exhausted eyes met mine.
"I was hoping you could tell us." I shook my head, effectively discouraging her.
"Well in that case I think we are calling this a day." Luke got up and walked to the steering wheel, he started the engine and took us home.
"Does this have anything with the story you tried to tell me earlier?" Quietly asked Montana as she helped me sit up.
"Yes, I'll tell you everything when we get home."
"Land Ho!!!!!!!"
"Luke, you aren't a pirate! Shut up!" We laughed as he stuck out his tongue childishly and pouted.
I climbed off the boat with fish glued to my side, and Montana to my other. My trusty German Sheppard rubbed his neck to my leg, insisting that I hold on to his camouflage collar as he led Montana and I back to my house. We walked into my beach villa and shut the door.
"Tell me the story!"
"Well I was walking to the beach with fish and the strangest thing happened..."
"No way, that's some storybook shit."
"Right! I'm going crazy"
"Cleo, it happening once is strange, twice is a coincidence. It becomes concerning after three." I sighed and hung upside down off my bed.
"It was under water! I don't understand!" My best friend rolled off the bed and onto the floor with a loud THUD.
"Did you just-"
"You heard nothing." I giggled at my friend's stupidity, eventually the two of us got hungry and ordered pizzas. Yes, it is plural, because we ordered 4 large pizzas. Once cheese, peperoni, sausage, and a triple meat. Which had a crap ton of everything on it.
Don't judge us! We're growing girls!
"Mon, do you think we ordered to much?" We looked at each other and burst out laughing. I tried to sober up, but when I looked at my best friend I laughed even harder. We were gripping the corner of the kitchen island, struggling to stay up.
Our laughing fit came to an abrupt stop when Fish's loud bark rattled the house.
