Hot 'n' Cold

 I watched as Dr. Hunt placed eight syringes on my right and seven on my left.

"We are doing eight on your right, and seven on your other arm. Then we have to talk about the last shot." My face paled, Adam shifted me so I was sitting sideways and my right arm was exposed to the Doctor.

"Keep your muscles relaxed, it'll be over before you know it." He disinfected my arm and was about to inject the first needle. I buried my head into Adam's chest, my muscles tightened making each shot, quite painful.

"All done, now may come in before every expedition, and gets a hormone reduction shot. It basically stops the body from ovulating for a year, all it does is stimulates pregnancy, without the crying baby at the end." I leaned back into Adam.

"Just do it, I'm too tired." The two men laughed, I felt him disinfect my thigh, I closed my eyes and thought about Adam and my baby iguana.

"All done Cleopatra." I looked down at the rainbow-colored band-aid on my leg.

"Was that so bad?" Mocked Adam.

"Yes, I almost died!" I pouted.

"Adam your turn." He lifted me and sat me down next to me. Adam sat perfectly still as he was being poked by needles.

"You're a damn robot," I muttered under my breath.

"Alright, I'll see the four of you, when you get back. And for the record, you two make the cutest couple."

"Thanks Dr. Hunt." Smiled Adam. The doctor left us alone making me smile tiredly.

"You are a drama queen."

"Yes, but a hot drama queen." He wrapped his arm around my waist and led me out of the hospital.

"We have to feed Athena and Rocky. What do you want for lunch?"

"Food preferably." I laughed.

"How's chicken from Jewel?"

"Let's get some chicken!" Adam looked at my lips and came closer. This was the 5th time he tried to kiss me, each time we were interrupted, but not this time. I could feel it. I leaned in, his lips pressed against the corner of my mouth, and pulled away.

"Tease." I mocked. We drove out of the hospital and drove down the street to the local grocery store. As we pulled into the parking lot, people's heads were turning. Like in those movies, but better, Little kids pointed at our car, and teenagers stood with their jaws dropped.

"Here put these on." I was handed a pair of Ray Bans. Adam pushed a button and the doors opened up. People were staring at us and snapping photos. I felt like a movie star, holding Adam's hand. We walked inside and grabbed a salad for Rocky and two large buckets of chicken for us. We paid and drove straight to the sanctuary.

I walked to the bathroom, leaving Adam with our chicken in our office. When I came back Jack was sitting on the floor next to him and our chicken. I closed the door behind me and sat down on Adam's lap. He wrapped his arms around me and rested his head on my shoulder.

"You comfortable?"

"Very." He grinned.

"I'll go get my wife, with the trip in a month, we need to be on the same page."

"Well, there goes our quiet lunch."

I shifted my body so I was facing Adam. I looked at the handsome man, with his dark hair and beautiful emerald green eyes. My eyes traveled down to his plump lips. I longed to feel his lips against mine, Adam cupped my cheeks gently and pulled me closer. He ran his hand through my hair and let it set at the base of my neck.

"You are so beautiful." We learned in even closer if that was even possible. I wrapped my arms around his neck and crashed my lips against his, I just couldn't wait any longer. He deepened the kiss as we moved in sync. I nibbled his lip causing him to grunt in frustration. Adam ran his tongue over my bottom lip, begging me for entrance, which I denied. He let his hands explore my body, running them up and down my chest. I smiled into the kiss. Adam took his chance to explore my mouth. Much to my dismay, I pulled away breathless. Our eyes were dilated and faces were flushed. The only thing I could focus on was this man, and how much I loved him. I know it's only been a week but I can't just not, love him.

"Adam," I mumbled. "That was incredible."

Jack and May looked at us, wide-eyed.

"That was hot as hell!" Grinned Jack. I blushed and buried my face back into Adam.

"We'll discuss somethings and leave you two alone." Winked May. I tried to stand up but Adam had different plans.

"You cannot stand up." He mumbled hoarsely. I blushed profusely, as I felt him on my thigh.
