"Where are you going?"

Jaehyun's voice echoes across the whole room, making you stop on your tracks, your hand already on the door knob.

Why does the whole scenario give off a sense of nostalgia?

You slowly turn around and lock eyes with your brother who was leaning against the living room wall, arms crossed.

"Again, where are you going?" He repeats his question when you hesitate to answer him.

You bite your bottom lip, trying to think of a good excuse. After the events that happened today, you were sure that your brother wouldn't let you go out and that he would probably put a stop to your little rendezvous with Yukhei.

"To go... to the convenience store?" You end up muttering, mentally face palming yourself for not thinking of a better excuse.

"To buy what?"

"Pads" 

This time, you turn away from Jaehyun and actually face palm yourself.

Jaehyun rolls his eyes at your statement.

"Don't give me that BS. Your period ended last week"

Your eyes go wide and your jaw drops as you scoff in disbelief.

"Excuse me?! You may be my brother but how the hell do you know-"

"-You get really cranky when you have y/n. And I mean REALLY cra-"

"-okay! OKAY! I get it so shut up!" You say, cutting your brother off, suddenly embarrassed by the fact that he knew that much. 

Silence follows after that.

"You're going star gazing with that Yukhei guy aren't you?"

You roll your eyes at your brother's words, already imagining the sermon that'll come after.

"His name is Yukhei. Why do you need to add 'guy' at the end?! And yes I'm going to look at the night sky with him!"

"y/n Mark just-"

Before Jaehyun could finish his statement, you cut him off, suddenly feeling irritated by the fact that he still treated you like a kid.

"-yeah, I know 'It's dangerous!' But I can take care of myself"

Jaehyun stares at you in disbelief, pushing himself off of the living room wall and walking towards you.

"You always say that!"

"Because it's true!" You burst out.

"My whole middle school til college life, I've been on my own while you worked or did stuff with your stupid gang that I can't believe I wanted to be a part of! Hanging out with a guy is nothing compared to hanging out with scammers, drug dealers and murderers!" You end up screaming, glaring at your older brother as you did so.

A part of you felt bad because you knew that he had to leave you when you were younger so that the two of you could survive but your temper just got the best of you.

Jaehyun remains silent at that and you take this as a sign to leave. But before you're out, you hear Jaehyun mutter a "Be back safe"

"Hey!" You said with a smile, playfully hitting Yukhei on the head as you sat beside him.

"Yah! That hurt!" He muttered, pouting at you as he rubbed the spot you hit like a little kid.

Why the heck did he look so cute?

When you sat beside him, he noticed how you shivered a little.
