When you glance at your brother to see his reaction about the whole thing you're simply met with his amused face.
"You have no idea how hard it is to believe a single word that you just said" he says with a chuckle. You simply roll your eyes at him before deciding to change the topic.
"So how are you, Taeyong and the others holding up?"
"We've been through worse" Jaehyun replied with a shrug. "Although Ten seriously needs to collect his man. Johnny's been having fist fights with Taeil... the guy from Mark's gang, remember him?"
"Of course I do. I kicked that guy"
"Yeah well whoever decided on who's going to be cell mates is a dang idiot for putting those two together"
Silence fills the air for a few seconds but it's quickly replaced with yours and your brother's laughter.
"Damn i miss you..." You mutter as the laughter dies down. You and your brother lock eyes and all he could do at this point was flash you a sad smile as if he was saying a silent apology.
"So... what are you gonna do now?" Jaehyun suddenly asks, the mood of the room shifting into something serious.
"Um... Well..." You lick your lips that suddenly feel dry and clear your throat a few times, unable to find the right words.
"I decided to work hard and bring the gang back to it's former glory, get you out of jail so Taeyong can lead once again then I'll go on an adventure or something" You say nervously.
"You mean you'll search for Yukhei" Your eyes go wide at your brother's words. Panicked, you start mumbling whatever comes to your mind in hopes of changing the topic.
"Or- OR I could just not divorce Chenle and live under full protection for the rest of my life because I'll be the rock and emotional support of Chenle! PLUS I'LL HAVE TO CARRY THE FUTURE OF THE ZHONG DYNASTY SO-"
You stop mumbling when you see your brother's brow arched.
"You and Chenle cant even kiss and you plan to-"
"-EW JAE. NO. IT WAS A JOKE. A FUCKING JO-"
"Sheesh, I get it Calm down!" Jaehyun says, chuckling at your flustered state.
"Well as much as I'd like to ask more about the gang, you're running out of visiting time and I think that you still need to talk to the other guy" Jaehyun says with a sigh, breaking the silence that filled the air after your earlier conversation.
You whine a bit, not wanting to end your little reunion although you eventually agree, calling an officer to assist your brother back to his cell as they brought in none other than Lee Taeyong.
Your heart stopped the moment you saw him, not ready to face whatever conversation you two were supposed to have.
When Taeyong is settled and the officer leaves, you clear your throat to try and make him look at you because the moment he entered the room, his head was hung low and he didn't even spare you a glance.
"Hey there Jealous boyfriend" You mutter jokingly, trying to lighten the mood.
Anyone could tell that both of your hearts were heavy. The tension in the room was thick.
You sigh with relief when you hear Taeyong do a half-hearted chuckle at your statement.
"So you're married to Chenle?"
