Day 67: 'I don’t know why I’m being like this. Why do I wanna do bad things?'

The two of you didn't take it any further last night for multiple reasons.

Despite having very little sleep and waking up late for the first day of school, a part of you was relieved by the fact that the weird tension between you and Taeyong that you always felt was finally, somehow, solved.

It felt as though a big weight was finally off your shoulders.

The following weeks were composed of you and Taeyong acting like some cute cringey couple that didn't want to get caught of something. Throwing each other small glances and little hearts and holding hands under the table whenever you would join him and his members for a meeting.

Day 81: 'Maybe I might fall more deeply into you'

"You should be in school" He says with a sigh, putting down his pen and giving his full attention to you.

"And you should be doing whatever it is gang leaders do" you mutter as you head over to his desk and get a piece of paper, folding it into a little turtle origami.

"You know turtles are just the cutest thing ever" You say with a small smile, sitting  on his desk and admiring your art skills.

"No. they're weird and soft without their shell"

"Like you!" You say, turning to face  Taeyong and holding out your little paper origami at him. He takes the piece of art, placing it on his desk before arching a brow at you.

"You're like a turtle. You look all though but you're actaully just a softie inside of that shell"

Taeyong sighs before gesturing for you to lean down. When you do, he suddenly pecks you on the cheek before grabbing his pen and going back to work.

"Go back to school, you still have half a day"

"He's fucking whipped" Johnny mutters as he, Sicheng and Ten squeeze together as they try to see what's happening in their boss' office through a small gap by the door.

~~~~~
It was a Sunday. You and Taeyong were just lazing around on the couch at your home, watching a movie, his arm over your shoulder as you snuggled close when the door to your house suddenly bursts open making you and Taeyong jump up.
You both rush to the door and you're eyes go wide at the sight.
It was your brother collapsed on the ground.
"Jae!" Taeyong screams, immediately helping him up and closing the door. Despite wanting to help your brother as well, you just couldn't seem to move from your spot.
"Hey y/n!" Jaehyun says with his usual dimpled smile as Taeyong helps him up. He looks haggard, skinny and tired but he still looks like your brother nonetheless.
Jaehyun opens his arm, which wasn't leaning on Taeyong for support, a smile never leaving his face.
And just when he expects you to cry and run to his arms and give him a sisterly embrace, you just stand there and say "Hey Jae"
That night, you stayed in your room without saying another word to your brother. You could hear him and  Taeyong discussing about the problems that occurred in the mission.
"You didn't seem to change one bit" Taeyong says with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood a bit after the heavy topic. "But she seemed to change a lot over the past few months" Jaehyun mutters with a sigh, his gaze on your bedroom door.
"Give her some time Jae, she's been through shit since you left"
~~~~~

You werent going to lie, the first few weeks with Jaehyun back were awkward, but after a while, things seemed to go back to normal. Although it was obvious that there were still some unspoken things and secrets between you and your brother.

You didn't tell him a single thing about what happened to you for the past months and vice versa. You knew that Jaehyun had been through a lot as well and you didn't want him to blame himself for whatever had been happening to you. Besides, you both knew that it was best to let wounds heal and not try to reopen them.

~~~~~
"So, are you two gonna keep on pretending like I'm not here or are you gonna tell me what the fuck is going on between the two of you"
Jaehyun asks as he sits on the lazy boy chair that's diagonal to the couch where you and Taeyong were seated on.
Taeyong had his arm over your shoulders again, a habit that he had obtained every time he sat beside you while you were casually snuggled close to his chest.
Taeyong immediately retracts his arm and moves away from you a bit at Jaehyun's words.
"We aren't pretending that you don't exist Jae" You say absentmindedly, too focused on the movie that's playing to notice how Taeyong's internally panicking.
"I leave for a few months and when I come back my sister and my best friend are dating, great!"Jaehyun mutters to himself, resting his head against the backrest of his chair.
You pause the movie at that.
"...Did you say dating?"
"Well that's what it looks like" Jaehyun mumbles, deciding to stare at the ceiling instead of the two of you.
"Look I can tell that something happened while I was gone and I won't question it but at least tell me if you're dating or not cause it's weird to see you two together"
Jaehyun's not gonna lie, it was weird seeing his little sister and 'boss/best friend' holding hands and giving longing stares and looking as if you're together but he knew that you two have been through a lot while he was gone so he decided not to question it. Besides, he also realized how mature and independent you had become since he came back and accepted the fact that you were old enough to make your own decisions.
"Are we dating?" Taeyong asks, turning to face you. Jaehyun doesn't fail to notice how Taeyong's arm ends up over your shoulders again as if it was second nature.
You stare back at Taeyong for a few seconds before shrugging your shoulders and muttering a little "I guess"
Taeyong then glances at Jaehyun as if he was asking for permission.
When Jaehyun doesn't say anything, Taeyong takes this as a green light and takes a deep breath.
"Well, there's your answer Jae. I guess we are dating"
"Well thanks for telling me"
