"I'm leaving early." Dean says, flicking Gabriel's computer screen.
"Why?" Gabe asks, checking the time seeing that it's only 5pm.
"I'm meeting that guy." Dean says casually, trying to slide it under the radar.
"You're bailing out on work for him now?" He scoffs sarcastically. "First you come back 45 minutes late from meeting him during lunch and now this?" He raises his eyebrows at him. "You have to be blind to not understand what all of us do."
"All of us?" Dean echoes — wondering who else he's mentioned this to.
Nobody, he's just being a wind up. He answers himself, knowing Gabriel would never expose him.
"Me and, you know..." He invites Dean closer to him, he obeys. "...the fans." He adds in a whisper.
Dean gives an impression like he's on The Office. He knows Gabriel's making this up, but he knows better than to defend himself.
"It's just to get the ET1 back and just to fill in the extra information he doesn't understand." Dean says, rolling his eyes. "It's harmless." He adds, although his confidence behind his words are starting to fade the more he says it.
"Yeah, right. And I'm an angel." Gabriel raises his eyebrows, looking at Dean like he owes him an explanation. "You're ga-a-ay." He whispers sarcastically.
"I just want to get a head start so I can contact ACAS easier." Dean puffs, ignoring his deliberately sarcastic comments.
Gabriel tilts his head. "Which all can be done over the phone. You don't have to physically be with him and you know it, ya just want to... Cute, Winchester."
Dean rolls his eyes at the word cute; he's not cute. He's tough, masculine... a macho man, that's it.
"There's no reason to see each other after this. We both know the stuff doesn't go to a hearing for another 4-to-6 months. Anything after then can be done over the phone." He mocks his voice childishly.
Dean knows he's lying through his teeth given the conversation him and Cas had earlier, and their newly found thing wasn't just about the case... but he's not prepared to break that to Gabriel yet at the risk of a wind-up overload.
"God-d-d," Gabriel exaggerates the 'D' — with purposeful intent. "You should admit it, Dean."
Dean shifts his weight to his other foot, clenching his jaw at his uncooperative friend. "Admit what?"
"That you're a dude-lover god-damn!" Gabriel yells in a quirky voice, simultaneously slamming his desk for dramatic effect, which makes other people look at them both.
Wanting to avoid the attention, Dean narrows his eyes at his pal. "Bye." He says, leaving the room promptly and getting into the elevator.

Dean and Cas meet back at the same cafe as earlier. This time Cas is first to arrive and has chosen a closed off booth in the corner. He doesn't have a drink with him.
Dean plays a card of irony and orders two milkshakes at the counter from a blonde person named Alfie, who presents the drinks and then holds up the cylinder of straws.
