"What is wrong with you, bro?" Gabriel turns to look at Cas, halting him in the corridor.

"What is wrong with me?" Castiel mocks, still short on breath. "Why didn't you tell me that Dean had slept with half of the office here?" He demands, shoving his brother. "Is that the only reason he wants me here? So that I can be his little office toy along with the others?"

Gabriel reaches out for his shoulder, seeing that he is evidently upset. "Cas,"

"No." Castiel shudders, looking away. There's a short pause until he speaks again. "Am I ugly?" Castiel mutters at the ground, although asking Gabe. Slowly, he turns to face him again.

Gabriel sees the look in his younger brother's eye, the tears barely at bay, gathering around his waterline.

"I mean, is that it? Am I just a gross human being?" Castiel looks down on himself.

"Cas, you aren't ugly." Gabriel tries to add comfort to his voice, an unnatural tone for him. "Why – why would you ask me that?"

Interrupting them is the door beside them swinging open and Dean appears.

"What's wrong?" He asks immediately, turning to Cas.

Castiel looks to Gabriel, who understandingly exits the way Dean enters.

"Are you going to tell me what this is about?" Dean looks at Cas with confused eyes. "You look upset."

Rubbing the corner of his eyes, Castiel swallows hard. "I know about the others."

"The others?" Dean repeats him, looking just as puzzled as before.

"Ben, and Liltih." Castiel tries not to spit their names, although even at the thought envy writhes inside of his stomach.

Sighing, Dean shuffles to his other foot. "Cas..." He murmurs, just like Gabriel did.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Castiel asks him. "Is it because I'm one of them?"

"One of them? I don't-"

"Am I just here as your next office toy?" Is the next question in line. "But you're more embarrassed of this one, because I'm... old," He stutters. "And... not as attractive as the other ones."

"My office squeeze? Huh? What did they tell you, Cas?" Dean asks him, still not recognising where he's coming from.

"I know you had a fling with Ben. I know about the Christmas party, and New Year's, and valentines. And however many more parties after that." He spitefully reiterates Ben's words. "I know you guys were seeing each other and sleeping together and doing all of that... stuff."

Dean sighs. "You mean the other intern, Ben? The young one whose face is always in his phone?"

"Yes," Castiel rolls his eyes. "The young one."

"Castiel, nothing has ever happened between me and Ben. I can assure you of that." Dean makes sure that their eyes are aligned, and puts his hands on his shoulders. "Ben is a kid with a crush, that's all."

Castiel look sat him sheepishly, scanning the honesty in his eyes. "A kid with a crush?" He tilts his head at him in question, happy with his demeaning choice of words.

"Yes, that's all. I mean, one time at the Christmas party last year..." Dean shakes his head. "The kid got drunk and threw himself at me when we were alone together, he kissed me. But it wasn't reciprocated, not at all. I simply told him to get off of me and that it wasn't appropriate and I didn't view him that way at all." Dean scoffs. "He's repeatedly tried to make something happen, at some other work events, but nothing has ever come of it, I promise you, Cas."
