"Hello, babe." Dean swings the door open to his apartment, welcoming Castiel in.

"Someone is feeling chirpy on this morning, aren't they?" Castiel teases with a smile, hugging him as soon as he closes the door and kissing his lips.

"I am," Dean returns his embrace. "Thank you for noticing."

"Would it be anything to do with an estranged brother turning up in your apartment last night and your entire relationship being patched up, and your life becoming happy families again?"

"Maybe... But also to do with the fact that I have an awesome certain man-friend who encouraged me to deal with said estranged brother, who is notably perfect at doing all of the right things and annoyingly good looking. Oh, and he's standing in front of me."

"Oh, Dean." Castiel says sweetly, although surprised. "You must be feeling lovey today."

"You bet." Dean winks back at him. "What can I say, you bring the best out in me."

"I'm happy to hear it." Castiel squeezes Dean's hand. "When do I get to meet Sam?" He asks, looking over is shoulder into the apartment.

"He's out right now, doing some shopping, I think. He'll be back soon enough, then you can meet him." Dean answers, a smile on his face.

"How is he?" Cas then replies, curious himself.

Dean lets go of him, walking off towards the kitchen. "He is amazing, Cas. It's unbelievable, I know I told you last night that he's sorted himself out, but I think he really has. It really makes me happy." He places both hands on the counter, looking straight at Castiel with an enthusiastic grin.

Dean's bounciness makes Cas smile. "Well that's good, Dean, you deserve to be happy. I'm proud of him, too."

"You don't even know him." Dean flaps a palm at him, as if he's saying it to bluff.

"So? He's your brother, that makes him important to me too." Castiel shrugs as he wanders over, happy that at last he and Dean have reached this point of comfort. "It must have been really difficult for him to do all of that on his own, it's a real accomplishment."

Dean points at him. "Mhm, you're so adorable."

"Aren't I just?" Castiel laughs, hopping into the chair at the table by the kitchen. "I was thinking, maybe we should host a party for Sam." He boasts his idea that he has been pondering over since last night.

Dean looks back, mused. "A party?"

"Yeah, you know. Celebrate him coming home to you and coming out of rehab, it should be celebrated." He looks up to Dean with bright, hopeful eyes. "We could go to Cain's, somewhere nice and small where we can all be nice and happy and have fun. Me, you, Sam and Gabriel." He goes on, unable to conceal his obvious excitement, nearly bursting at the seams. "So Sam feels like he's done himself really good, because he has."

Dean bends over the counter, putting him almost face to face with Cas. "You see how sweet you are? God, you're cute." He looks over his features amicably.

"It's so lovely to see you happy, Dean." Cas says to him, pleasantly surprised with his sudden change of attitude amongst his brother's return.

"It's all because of you." Dean leans further over the counter and kisses his forehead, before leaving the kitchen to sit in the seat opposite him.

Bashfully, Cas fans him away. "No it's not."

"It started with you, and I'm going to make sure it never ends, alright." He takes Castiel's hands in his, smiling. "Do you know what that means? That means no more boyf, or Head Sugar Daddy, or man friend, or whatever." He laughs. "Cas, will you be my boyfriend?"
