The rest of the week flows by perfectly, making Castiel's first week at work amazing. He had spent time on the 12th floor, but also ventured to other floors to meet people in the firm for other departments, such as events and bids people. He's ignored any of the rumours floating around about office romances, taking no notice of Ben's words.
Ben in particular seemed bothered by Cas' presence, and he didn't know whether that made him happy or sad. He kind of felt good that somebody appeared to be jealous of him, but simultaneously, it was frustrating not to easily gel with somebody that he's working with. He would make degrading comments about the way Cas always turned up with Dean, like a bum lick, were his exact choice of words.
His relationship has only improved with Dean. Since he opened up the other night, Castiel feels like he knows him so much more, he feels closer to him than ever. Knowing Dean trusted him with his past made him feel special and valued, and relieved that Dean cared about him enough to share his story with him.
Today, they were meeting in town to go shopping together for a new wardrobe for Cas. It will be my treat, Dean said, you deserve to feel comfortable in your own clothes, and look hecking good at the same time.
They met at Cain's, Cas hitching a ride with Alfie. He thought Dean couldn't look any better than in a striking suit, but hell, he was wrong.
He was dressed in a black cotton t-shirt, that revealed his muscular body as they tightened around his biceps and stuck to his waist. He had denim jeans on, the simple straight kind, that fit his legs perfectly, showing off his cowboy like walk.
It was odd to see him dressed so, casually. But he looked so good.
"Heya, Cas." He said, placing a hand on his waist and pulling him in for a brief hug. Although he wasn't big on his PDA, this was good enough for Cas, even though he would prefer it if Dean swung him around in the air and kissed him like he hadn't seen him in weeks.

"What do you think?" Cas asks, tapping his heels purposefully to drag attention to the shoes he's trying on. "Do they go well with my joggers?"
Dean applauds, sitting on a leather chair. "They match perfectly."
Scoffing, Castiel turns and looks at the shoes in the mirror on the floor. They were leather and black, that's all he saw. Shoes were shoes to him, he didn't know the difference between any of them. They fit his feet well, they looked smart, that's good enough for him. "I don't know what I'm supposed to look for in a shoe." He says.
Dean laughs. "Take it as you're looking at a dating profile." He stands up, only to walk over to Cas and crouch down, looking at him in the reflection. "Do they look attractive to you?"
Cas makes a hmph sound. "I don't know, I usually go for guys who are a little taller." He chuckles.
"That's another thing." Dean says. "Does the heel size work for you? Can you walk in them?" He sounds rather concerned for somebody talking about a shoe.
Cas begins to tap dance across the floor, clicking the heel on the wood and hopping shout. "They're good enough to make a snazzy sound. I'll feel like a badass at work, that's for sure. People will run when they hear these shoes coming." He performs a slow-mo Kung fu kick.
"Who's ass do you plan on kicking?" Dean asks him, laughing softly at his move.
"Uh..." Cas ponders, pretending like it's hard to think of somebody. "Ben's. Lilith's too."
"Oh, Mr. Novak, are you still jealous?" Dean teases, walking over to him and grabbing his hips.
Castiel looks up to him pouting. "Yes, because I don't get to flaunt that you are my property."
