Moving on is one of those things that are easier said than done. J Hope knew that very well. It had only been a couple of hours since his feud with Jimin and he was already feeling like it had been years. Of course he would not get over his love for the beautiful vocalist in just a few hours, maybe not even years would be enough. It was somehow disappointing. There have been several people to call him names in the past, most of them, people he didn't even know and all of them through social media. Of course he would get sad whenever someone said something rude to him. He'd lie if he said he didn't care. Still, none of those could compare to how he felt hearing Jimin saying those things. Those words had really stabbed his heart.
He had spent the rest of the day by himself, locked up in his studio. He had tried to write lyrics or to continue working on his mixtape, but no inspiration hit his mind. Before he knew it, it was around 11pm and he knew he had to go to sleep. Their schedule next day would be long and tiring, starting from dance practice to a photoshoot and the filming of a new episode for BTS Gayo. It would certainly be one of those days where they returned home late and very exhausted. With that in mind, he turned off his computer and walked out of the studio. To his surprise, the lights inside most of the bedrooms were on indicating that the members were still awake. He passed by Jungkook's bedroom that had the door slightly open, successfully revealing the youngest singing.
The melody coming from the inside, was really soothing and beautiful. 'Buttefly, Like a butterfly' Kookie sang with a lot of feelings in his voice. It was fascinating to hear Jungkookie singing, specially a song that they hadn't performed, danced to or sang for so long. Hoseok's lips instantly formed a smile upon hearing his maknae's beautiful voice. Though he wasn't really sure why Kookie was practicing that song or where did all the emotion he was singing it with came from, he was extremely glad to hear it. It had somehow made him feel a lot better.
Not wanting to interrupt such an emotional session, he walked straight to his bedroom. Surprised to find all lights off and Jimin already asleep on his bed. Judging by the fact that he was not under the covers and that he was still wearing the sports pants and hoodie he had been wearing that afternoon, Hoseok deduced that he must've fallen asleep minutes after their discussion. He smiled at the sight, unlike how furious he had been a few hours ago, Jimin now looked sweet, tender and rather innocent. It was so cute. Too cute! However, if he was really to move on, he needed to show a little less empathy towards his dongsaeng. That's why he decided not to change Jimin into his sleeping clothes like would usually do, but he would certainly cover the younger with the duvet. Of course he didn't want for him to be cold.
Hoseok changed his clothes trying to dismiss the thought of changing really fast only so that he could help Jimin as soon as possible. He brushed his teeth and returned to the sleeping Chimchim. He seemed to be very tired, but who wouldn't be tired with the schedule they had to follow? Hoseok opened the corner of the duvet and carefully lifted Jimin up. The younger once again let out a soft growl but didn't wake up. Hoseok would never stop thinking that the fact that Jimin could remain asleep through everything was really sweet. How could someone be this sweet? Getting over this cute boy was going to be so hard. Probably impossible. Hoseok felt devastated.
He placed Jimin under the warm fabric and covered the younger up. His mind seemed to have erased all the bad memories of their discussion earlier just by looking at Jimin. In all honesty, this is what love did. There was nothing Jimin could do that would make Hoseok stop loving him, that's why if he wanted to move on, he needed to do so under his own decision and not after something the sweet mochi had done. Because if he did that way, it would never work.
His lips formed a smile as he saw Jiminie sleeping so calmly. His face turned in the direction of the wall next to his bed. With a hand under his head, his lips partially parted and his cheeks painted a soft shade of pink, Hoseok couldn't help but to think that if angels do exist, they must look like Jimin. It was when the fabric covering Chimchim's wrist slid down a bit, that he was reminded of the awful fact that Jiminie was not happy. Frankly, Hoseok was not angry at Jimin, he was scared. What if something happened to him? If something bad ever happened to Jimin, there was no way Hoseok could continue living. Not like that, not without him. He was so afraid.
He shook his head, trying to erase those thoughts from his mind. He knew Jimin was mad at him, still he couldn't help but to lay down next to him. He hugged the younger by the waist, not really wanting to get under the duvet so that Jimin could have his space. He buried his face on Jiminie's nape. Almost embracing the fear that had invaded his whole being just minutes ago. As he tightened his arm around his dongsaeng's waist, he remembered the sweet notes that he had just heard coming from Jungkook's bedroom about an hour ago.
He remembered the emotion he had heard in Kookie's voice and despite Hoseok thinking that he was not exactly Bangtan's best vocalist, he thought that, as always, music could help in this situation. He lifted himself up and started to stroke Jimin's hair as a calm and soft melody left his mouth:
Amugeodo saenggakhaji ma
(Don't think about anything)
Neon amu maldo kkeonaejido ma
(Don't even speak)
Geunyang naege useojwo
(Please just smile for me)It had been probably over a year since he last sang this song for an audience. He had almost forgotten how powerful those lyrics are.
I modeum ge da kkumin geot gata
(Everything feels like a dream)
Sarajiryeo hajima
(Don't try to dissapear)Is it true? Is it true?
You you
Neomu areumdawo duryeowo
(So beautiful, so terrifying)Hoseok leaned down. Not being able to hold back anymore, he pressed his lips against Jimin's forehead. He then continued his serenade:
Gyeote meomulleojullae
(Be by my side)
Naege yaksokhaejullae
(Will you promise me)
Son daemyeon naragalkka buseojikka
(If I touch you, I'm afraid you'll fly away or break)
Geopna geopna geopna
(I'm afraid, afraid, afraid)Hoseok kept stroking Jimin's hair, mesmerized by how much he loved his dongsaeng. Jimin was the best dream he had not been able to reach. He loved him so much, he felt like his heart would explode. He was not sure of how he could feel like his whole world laid in Jimin's small hands. He was so in love. So, so in love. Jimin is asleep. He thought. He won't be able to hear you. The voice inside his mind said. Driven by the all the emotions he now felt, he softly worded out the words he had needed to say for so long: "I love you Jiminie. I love you so much. You're my everything, Jiminie. I'm so in love with you. Forgive me, please. Forgive me" he said, his lips trembling with every word he spoke.
Feeling like his eyes were about to be covered with a fine watery layer, a new little smile formed in Hoseok's lips. His fingers wrapped around the younger's soft hair. He didn't want this moment to end. "I love you" he said again, feeling completely lost in the wonderful scene he was living right now. However, his fingers stopped their motion when his ears caught an unexpected response:
"I love you too, hyung".

I've thought about using a BTS song in every story. This because their songs are powerful and very significant! Book One featured I Need U while this one features Butterfly. Can you guess which one Book 3 will have?
Thank you all for reading!
Love you so much!
