*Natalie's POV*

Me and Connor walked into school and went looking for Madyson, Kassie and Bethany. We found them crowded around Beth's locker like usual.

We finished our morning conversation and the bell rang so we started walking towards our first class, social studies, luckily we had this class together.

We all took our regular seats across the room from eachother cause we talked to eachother to much and we waited for Mrs.Jackson to start talking.

"Goodmorning class, today we are starting a new project on countries. I will be picking your groups so listen closely for your name" she said, I silently groaned, I hate when she chooses groups.

"Marc and Angela, Phil and Jacob, Bethany and Connor, Kassie and Sonny and our last group Calum and Natalie.

Great, now everyone is in a group with their friends and I'm paired with Calum -sarcasm-.

"I suggest everyone goes and finds their partner and decide's what country your doing" Mrs. Jackson said and she sat down at her desk.

Bethany send me a look of sympathy but stood up to go sit with Connor. I sighed, grabbed my stuff and started to walk over to Calum.

"Hi" I said quietly "Can I sit here?" I asked and he nodded so I sat down beside him. "What country do you want to do?" he asked "I don't know, I'll do anything" I said "How 'bout Aulstralia? I was born there and I know a lot about itso it'd be a easy project" he said "Okay, sure." I smiled "Wanna study later?" he asked "Sure, but we'd have to do it at your house, my mum is working late and my dad is usually in a bad mood" I said "Alright, we could also meet in the library at lunch?" he asked "Okay, so lunch and after school?" I confirmed "Yep." he said.

"Do you have a cell phone I can borrow, I forgot mine at home and I need to call my dad" I said "Yeah, here" he said and handed me his phone.

I entered in my dad's phone number and after 3 rings he picked up. "Hello?" he answered "Hi dad, it's Natalie, I'm calling on a friends phone" I said "Okay, what do you need?" he asked "I'm gonna go to a friends house after school to work on a school project, what time should I be back?" I asked "Be back at 6:30. Do you need me to pick you up?" he asked "One second" I said and pulled the phone away from my ear.

"Do I need my dad to pick me up?" I asked Calum "I can drop you off at home if youu want" he said, I smiled and put the phone back at my ear "He says he can drop me off at home" I said "Okay, bye Nat" he said "Bye" I said and ended the call.

"Thanks" I said and handed his phone back to him. The bell rung, time for 2nd period. "I'll see you in the library" he said and walked off. "Bye" I said and smiled, he waved as he walked out of class.

Bethany walked up to me "Was he an asshole?" she asked "Nope." I said "Was he a bitch?" she asked "He wasn't any of those things" I said "What was he then?" she asked "He was really friendly and nice" I smiled.

"Gurl, are you on drugs or something?" she asked "Nope" I said "He was great" I said and I started walking to my math class that I had with Connor and Sonny.

*AT LUNCH*

The bell for lunch rang and the 5 of us left our science class "I gotta go meet Cal in the library. See you guys later" I said "Wait. You having lunch with Calum" Madyson asked "Yeah, we're gonna work on our project. He's been really friendly to me today to" I said "Friendly" Connor airquoted "Whatever, bye guys" I rolled my eyes and started walking to the library.

Calum was sitting at one of the tables with his laptop in front of him "Hey" I said "Hi" he said, we ate lunch in silence and Calum started to write down all the basic information on Aulstralia. He really does know a lot.

The bell rung and Calum turned off his laptop "I'll meet you in the school parking lot after school" he said "Okay, bye" I said and walked off to my next class.
