Chapter #3

*Natalie's POV*

"See you guys later" I waved to my friends "Bye!" they all said. I started walking out to the parking lot and I saw Calum leaning against a old red truck. "Hi" I said as I walked up to him "Hey" he said.

We got into his car and started to drive to his house, there wasn't much conversation so it was pretty awkward.

He had a nice little house, white fence and a two level white house with light blue linings. It reminded me of the dollhouse I owned when I was 6.

"Hi!" we we're greeted by Calum's mum "Who's this?" she asked "I'm Natalie, me and Calum are working on a school project together" I introduced myself "Well it's nice to meet you Natalie, I'm Joy" she said "I'm guessing you've already met Mali?" she asked "Yep, we have a few classes together" I said "We should go work on our project" Calum said, he was obviously embarassed by his mum "He's right, have fun!" Joy said and went back to whatever she was cooking.

We walked up to Calum's room and sat down on his floor leaning against his bed, he had a few Green Day poster's but his walls we're mostly plain blue.

We both learned some new facts about Aulstralia and we listened to a lot of Green Day, which we're both obsessed with.

American Idiot started playing and we we're both singing along, even though I suck and singing and he's perfect we we're both still laughing. Never thought I'd have so much fun doing homework.

Well, except for that one time me and Madyson we're working on homework and we ended up spilling water all over the kitchen and she was slipping everywhere..

Or that one time Connor fell down the stairs..

But this was still pretty fun.

It was 6:20 so I grabbed all my stuff and we walked out to his car. I told him my address and we started to drive over there.

"Thanks for the ride" I said "No problem, I'll see you at school tomorrow" he said "Bye Cal", "Bye Nat" he said and I closed his car door. I walked inside my house and saw Calum drive away.

"I'M HOME" I yelled "Hi" my mom said "I thought you we're working late?" I said "They said I didn't have to cause I'm going on a buisness trip in 2 days" she said "Cool" I commented "I'm going to take your dad so you have to babysit Cameron. So you'll need to pick him up from school and if you need to do school projects, do them here" she said "Mom, Cameron is in grade 8, can't he walk home by himself?" I said "You know he's a bit crazy" she said "Plus, I'm only gone for a week. You'll manage" she said.

I groaned "Whatever, did you save me some dinner?" I asked "Yeah, it's in the fridge" she sighed "Okay, thanks" I said.
