Chapter #26

*Natalia's POV*

I walked into school the next day.

I pulled an all-nighter last night, I literally could not sleep. I kept thinking of everything that happened that day.

Bags hung under my eyes with my hair up in a messy bun, I was wearing my oversized sweatshirt, leggings and uggs.

Gods, I really do look like absolute shit.

I could see Connor walking up to me, I smiled weakly and he hugged me again, "Hi" I yawned and he stopped hugging me.

"Did you even sleep last night?" he asked. I shook my head and yawned again. He grinned, "Let's ditch." he said and started pulling me down the hall by my wrist.

I laughed a little, and started running to catch up.

By now we we're both running as fast as we could down the hall, laughing our asses off. I bumped into Calum and jump about fell over but he quickly caught me.

"Where are you going in such a hurry?" he chuckled, "Where most defiantly not ditching" Connor said sarcastically. Calum looked at me with eyes of worry, I sighed, "It's fine." I said.

He nodded, Connor started dragging me again, "SEE YA!" I yelled as me and Connor started running off.

We stopped running when we're about half-way through the school yard.

"Your boyfriend really does hate me with a passion" he sighed, "Oh who cares about his opinion?" I joked and suddenly Michael and Ashton jumped over the fence and was standing in front of us.

"Woah, goddamn ninjas" Connor joked, Ashton scowled "We know you're just using Calum and Luke." Michael said "Excuse you, I actually like Calum and I haven't even seen Luke in a really long ass time!" I said.

"Well you're not using Luke but your goddamn friend Bethany is" Ashton said "If you could please talk to my friends nicer, I would appreciate that. And how is Beth using Luke?" I asked.

I could see Connor standing up straighter, he really hates it when people bother the other 4 of us girls. Especially me, probably because he still likes me.

"You don't even know that shes dating Luke?" Michael said, I slapped my hand over my mouth "Awhh, I totally ship them together!" I squealed. Connor whacked my side warning me to stop and I immediately listened and shut up.

Michael threw a punch at me, Connor immediately stood infront of me but Ashton grabbed Michael's hand before it could hit anyone.

"Leave them, they're not worth it." Ashton said, Michael lowered his fist. "You know, your right," Michael paused and looked me right in the eye.

"Your pathetic, go die." he said and started walking off with Ashton, my mouth gaped open in shock. "Excuse me?" Connor stopped Michael.

Ashton started walking into the school like he was completely done with what was happening.

"You heard me, she heard me. If you need me to repeat it I'd love to say it again" Michael smirked, "Apoligize." Connor stepped closer to him. "Connor, stop." I said, he completely ignored me.

"Why would I apoligize? I know what I said and I meant it 100%" Michael said, Connor continued to try to get Michael to apoligize.

"Connor, lets go." I tugged on the back of his shirt.

"Look, you're girlfriend is calling you. Better get going" Michael said and then looked back at me "Remember my words" he said and walked into the school.

"You know you don't have to keep fighting for me" I sighed, he looked down.

"I don't give a single shit about what they say" I said, "They effect me too! They hurt me too" he said.

"You don't need to protect me anymore" I whispered, "Why?! Is it because you have Calum? Is he better then me!?" he asked "What?! No!" I said.

"I can stand up for myself." I said "Everytime you've tried to stand up for yourself I've had to come in and help you!" he said.

I sighed, I knew he was right but I just didn't want to admit it.

"Whatever." he mumbled and walked into the school.

I think I actually lost my best friend this time.

I sighed and started walking towards Starbucks.

Connor, Michael or Ashton won't stop me from getting my coffee.

It was around the time when school ends so I walked into my house and ran upstairs.

I opened my laptop and turned on Teenagers by My Chemical Romance and started screaming along to the lyrics and spinning around in my spiny chair.

I suddenly heard Calum laugh, I stopped spinning and looked at my door, Calum stood there laughing at me.

"So this is what you do in your free time?" he laughed, I laughed a little as well.

"Pretty much." I said and turned the music down a bit.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, "I dunno," he flopped onto my bed "I saw Connor back in school today, what happened?" he asked.

"We just got in a fight, nothing much" I said "I have the feeling there's more to this story your just refusing to tell me" he said.

I pretended to be interested in choosing a new song, "Nataliaaaa" he whined.

"We just ran into Michael and Ashton. They said I was using you, Bethany and Luke are-" I gasped "You should really take me to Beth's house" I said. "Your getting off topic" he said.

"Oh yeah. Anyways Beth and Luke are dating, then Michael was saying that I'm pathetic and that I should go die, but I don't really give a shit" I said.

I started playing All The Small Things by Blink-182 and spun around in my chair, Calum's eyebrows we're furrowed in worry.

"Like I said, I don't give a shit." I said, okay, so maybe I cared a little bit.

Maybe more than a 'little' too..

I thought Beth would write and I got busy with my other 2 fanfics so yeh, sorry.
