*Ashton's POV*

I choked out more sobs and quickly texted Calum asking for Natalia's number.

I really don't feel like actually, physically talking to him.

Uhmm, Why? he texted me, I swear, I'm not gonna bully her or anything, I've changed. It's really important. I need her number I quickly taped.

Ugh, okay. If you hurt her I'll kill you ;) Explain to me later please.

He gave me the number and I called her, "Natalia" I quickly breathed, "Uhm, who's this?" she asked "Ashton. I need you to meet me in the backalley by 22nd street" I said quickly, wiping away more tears.

"Why? What happened?" she asked "It's Madyson she.. she-" I couldn't finish.

"MOM, IM GOING OUT" Natalia yelled to her mom. "I'll be there in 5" she said and hung up.

I pressed my head onto her stomach breaking down into a puddle of tears.

I heard running nearby and looked up, Natalia stopped at the end of the alley.

She put her hand over her mouth and started shaking, she slowly walked up.

"Ashton... what happened to her?" she said, tears streaming down her face.

"I was walking a-and she was whispering to herself things like 'things will be better' and I tried to stop her b-but it was too l-late" I stuttered.

"We need to call an ambulance" she said "We can't leave her" she said, "Should I call them then?" I sniffled, "Please?" she looked at my pleadingly. I nodded "Thank you" she said.

I called them and explained the situation, more tears shedding from both of us.

They took her into the ambulance, "Do you guys need a ride there?" one of the people asked, I nodded and we sat in the back to the ambulance.

We tried to look at everything but Sonny because we knew it would just make us more sad.

We had to sit down outside the hospital room, they were doing something with Madyson.

We were both sitting on the floor, all my tears seemed to be gone but Natalia was crying endlessly.

I hesitated but asked anyway, "Do you want to cuddle?" I held my arms out, she nodded a little and I pulled her into my lap and wrapped my arms around her.

She sobbed into my chest and I softly brushed my hand through her hair.

"She seemed so happy yesterday" she choked out, "She seemed like a person that hid her pain with humor" I sighed, she nodded.

A nurse came by, "Is there anyone we should call to tell them the, uhm.. news?" she asked.

"Natalia," I nudged her, she looked up at the nurse, "I'm sorry, what?" she asked quietly and sniffled, she repeated the question, "If there is you can just write down their phone numbers and names and we'll call them for you" she said.

I saw her write down Kassie, Bethany and Madyson's parents, but not Connor.

"Thank you" Natalia said quietly, the nurse smiled a little and walked off.

"What about Connor?" I asked, she gave me a confused look, "You didn't write his number down" I explained.

"Mady and Connor are cousins, he deserves to know in person" she sniffled and wiped away tears, I hugged her tighter to my chest.

Bethany and Kassie showed up, Madyson's parents didn't answer the phone so we would call them later.

We saw them both turn the corner and Natalia stood up to go talk to them.

I heard a few things like, it's true, she's gone, I'm not lying and more sobs coming from the three of them.

I felt left out, I cared about her too and nobody cares about my feelings.

I sniffled for the millionth time and tears started to escape my eyes again.

Natalia noticed and left Kassie and Bethany to take care of each other and she came and sat down with me.

She wrapped her arms around me and sat back in my lap. I actually didn't mind her sitting here, on my lap.

I found it cute that she chose me instead of calling Calum.

"I could tell t-that you liked her more then j-just friends" she said, I nodded.

She was right, Madyson has always stood out from the other girls, there was something about her I just didn't know what. The only reason I bullied her was because I was frustrated that she would never feel the same way.

But now she's gone.

I'm growing hatred for killing book characters 😖
