I knocked on Bill's front door a few times before getting an answer.

"Hey." I said quietly.

"H-hi." He said as he opened the door a bit wider, "y-you're early." He pointed out.

I nodded my head, "My dad and sister are working and I didn't want to be alone anymore." I said as I walked in and looked around, "I hope it's okay." I said.

He nodded his head quickly.

"Absolutely." He said as he stood behind me awkwardly.

"What going on with you and Beverly?" I asked.

He furrowed his eyebrows, "w-what do you mean?" He asked.

I smiled slightly, "She tells me everything... that poem was a bit too cheesy for my taste but very poetic, I guess." I said.

"I-I don't know w-what you're talking ab-about." He said as he tilted his head to the side.

I licked my lips, "you're good." I said.

"T-there's nothing going o-on between Beverly a-and I." He said as he began to walk upstairs.

I followed behind him, "what about the looks you guys give each other? And you look like you're in a trance when you stare at her." I said, "you're shy, I get it."

"S-so What if I-I like her?" He asked as we entered his room.

I put my hands up in defense, "I'm not saying it's bad I was just asking." I said as I sat on his bed.

"B-but what if I d-don't?" He asked.

"What is it with all these riddles?" I asked, "you either do or you don't."

He furrowed his eyebrows, "w-why do you ca-care?" He asked.

"I don't... I was just asking." I said.

"Y-you were j-just asking." He repeated in a form of a whisper as he looked down at my lips before licking his own.

"Yeah..." I mumbled as I followed his actions by licking my lips.

"Mhmm." He hummed.

I looked down at his pink lips before looking back into his eyes. His cheeks turned a dark shade of red as we continued to stare at each other with so much eager yet we knew it would be wrong if we followed through with this.

There was a hard knock on the front door and we both jumped back. I stood up and walked out his room, he followed closely behind.

I opened the door and immediately was greeted by shrieks and laughing, "Richie you're so disgusting!" Eddie shrieked as he walked in.

Richie let out a small laugh as he chased after Eddie.

"You're early." Beverly said as she gave me a tight hug.

"Yeah..."

I looked back at Bill, who quickly looked away from me. I closed the door after everyone walked in.
