We slowly made our way inside the house, leaving the door wide open. I walked next to Bill as Eddie and Richie followed behind.

"Can't believe I pulled the short straw." Richie said as we looked around with wide eyes, "You guys are lucky you're not measuring dicks."

"Shut up Richie." Eddie said.

I looked around at the old furniture and pealing walls. Last time i was in here i wasn't paying attention to the smell or the specific details of each couch and lamp... but now i know every rat that runs for cover and every stair in this house. Always be aware of your surroundings.

"Don't touch anything." I whispered.

"I can smell it." Eddie said as he tried to hold back a gag.

"Don't breath through your mouth." Richie said as he looked around.

"How come?" Eddie asked.

"Cause then you're eating it." I finished Richie's sentence.

Eddie couldn't hold back this time and gaged. He unzipped his fanny pack and pulled out his inhaler, taking a few pumps from it.

Richie walked over to a small open room and stared at a few spiderwebs and vines that dangled from the ceiling before reaching in to grab a crumbled paper. I noticed its size and guessed it was a flier.

Richie looked up while licking his lisp. His eyebrows furrowed and a wave of something i have not seen in a long time appeared: fear.

"What?" Bill asked.

We walked over to him and stood next to him.

"It... it says i'm missing." He said as he gulped down nothing but a big knot forming in his throat.

"Y-you're not missing, Richie." Bill said as he tried to take the flier away from Richie.

"Police Department, city of Derry! That's my shirt! That's my hair! That's my face!" Richie said as he began to go crazy. I widened my eyes, I've never seen Richie like this before and i felt completely frozen.

"calm down, this isn't real!" Bill said as he tried to comfort Richie.

"That's my name! That's my age! That's the date!" He screamed as he tried pulling the paper away from Bill.

"It can't be real, Richie!" Bill said as he finally snatched the paper away from him and threw it on the ground.

"No, it says it! What the fuck?! Am i missing?! Am i gonna go missing?!" Richie screamed in Bill's face.

"Calm down! Calm down!" Bill tried his best to hide his own worry.

"Look at me Richie!" I said as i grabbed this face between my hands and pulled him close, "Look at me!" I shouted, "That... that isn't real." I said, "It's playing tricks on you." I said as I slowly let go of him, "You're going to be okay... I won't let anything happen to you." I said as i reached over to grab his hand.

"Hello?" A small voice from upstairs called out, "Hello?" I quickly turned around and felt my stomach drop. I held Richie's hand tighter as we began to walk slowly to the stair case. We moved together, close enough to hear each other's hearts beating at an abnormal pace, "Help me please!"
