We all stood together as we took in every word that came out of Mrs. K's  mouth. She was so infuriated that we could see the smoke coming out of her ears and her face was tomato red.

Richie and I held hands as we hardly payed attention to her yelling, we were more concerned about Eddie who was clearly upset and crying.

Even though it was a hot summer day I was shaking due to the water that still covered every inch of my body. The water slipped down my legs or dripped from my clothes and hair. It was an uncomfortable feeling to have my clothes suffocating me but that was the least of my worries.

"You! You did this!" She said as she pointed at all of us, "you know how delicate he is." She said as she grabbed Eddie by his neck and shoulder and pulled him towards her car.

"We were attacking Mrs-Mrs. K-"

"No, don't!" She said angrily as she shoved Eddie inside the car and slammed the door shut, "don't try to blame anyone else."

She fumbled with her keys trying to desperately find the right one when she dropped them and they slid to Beverly's feet.

"Let me help-"

"Don't- back!" Mrs. K shouted as she put her hand out to Beverly who was already close to the keys, "Oh I've heard about you Ms. Marsh and I don't want a dirty girl like you touching my son." She hissed in Beverly's face.

I furrowed my eyebrows and took a step forward trying to say something but Richie gripped my hand and pulled me back. I turned to face him and he slowly shook his head, warning me not to make the situation worse.

"Mrs. K, I s-s-swear-"

Once again she interrupted Bill from apologizing, "No! You are all monsters! All of you! And Eddie is done with you. Do you hear? Done!" She said before speed-walking over to the driver's seat and climbing in.

She turned on the car quickly and I stared at Eddie as he tried to hold back tears. Mrs. K made a turn and didn't mind getting on the sidewalk. They took off and we watched from a  distance as the car disappeared.

We didn't talk for a minute but we huddled up close together in a circle and stared at each other without saying anything. I was scared out of my mind and I was dripping wet but I had a gut feeling that we had to go back and I know that Bill and Beverly had the same feeling.

"I saw the well... w-w-we know where it is a-a-and next time we'll be better prepared." Bill said with a bit of confidence.

"No! No next time Bill! You're insane!" Stan yelled as his voice cracked a few times. Tears threatened to spill out of his eyes as he tried to blink them away.

"Stan, I know you're scared. We all are but if we stick together-"

"No! You're just as crazy as Bill!" Stan yelled.

Richie let go of my hand as he looked at me like I was insane.

"Why? We all know no one else is gonna do anything." Beverly said as she looked at Stan with soft eyes.
