SUNRISE

She rose like the sun in the morning 
Felt it's warmth slowly creeping 
Radiant as she floats through the sky 
Opening the gate to new beginnings 

                          
Eyes open to your bright rays 
As I slowly rise to your light's embrace 
Bringing a new sense of hope 
To this dying heart I cope 

                          
Once again I ask for your grace
Help me to see the brighter day 
Guide me in winning this race 
On my knees I fervently pray
