"SEBASTIAN, YOUR WOMANISVERYCOOL." Paul suddenly admitted, gaining his attention in a split second.
The frenzied noise of the guests perfectly amalgamated with the blusterous music, making Paul's voice sound immensely small. Sebastian was busy talking to the guests since earlier until he didn't realize Calligenia was wandering somewhere. He had introduced her to the whole cast and so far she could blend in with everyone just fine, even Margot had considered Calligenia her long-lost best friend. It was gladden meeting lots of new people, but he wouldn't lie if he secretly wanted it all over so he could spend the time with the ginger. And now hearing her name was mentioned, Sebastian finally had a reason to end the conversation with them.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow and slightly moved away from the crowd. "What do you mean?"
"She and Caitlin teamed up to play Beer Pong and they've won four games!" Paul excitingly informed. "Calligenia is a really heavy drinker, might I add. She suggested changing the beer with Vodka and she took all the drink parts while Caitlin only threw the ball."
"What? How much did she drink?"
"About 24 cups, still counting though."
Sebastian's eyes widened at the new information, feeling both amazed and alarmed for the girl's health also safety. "And no one stopped her? Where is she, Paul?"
"Near the mini bar." Paul told him as he quietly laughed at Sebastian's reaction. "If you see the crowd, there's the spot. She's stealing the night at the moment."
Without uttering any more words, Sebastian hurried over to where Calligenia was. If she was way too drunk, there were plentiful likelihood bad things would happen to her and of course, Sebastian didn't want that. Especially if a lot of men showed interest on her and have dirty thoughts swirling around inside their minds at the sight of the ginger. Was it possible that Sebastian was extremely jealous if other unknown men find her attractive? Absolutely yes.
At that thought, Sebastian halted on his steps and contemplated what kind of feelings he really felt toward the ginger. Was it only a common crush? Or was it love?
Before Sebastian could ferret out an answer for his own feelings, his reverie was interrupted by the hubbub in the area not far from where he stood. In a blink of an eye, he landed his eyes at the scenery and instantly noticed the ginger head, currently lifting her hand up with a cup in her grip. Even from a distance Sebastian could say she was completely drunk. He quickly made his way to her and just as her lips was about to touch the cup, Sebastian managed to wrest the cup and put it on the table.
Calligenia looked eminently perplexed because her cup suddenly vanished from her hand before she trailed her eyes upward. Seeing Sebastian right in front of her, a grin caparisoned her lips widely and turned to face the crowd. "Oh! Look everyone, who decided to join."
Sebastian awkwardly smiled at them and threw an unpleasant look at Caitlin since she didn't do anything to prevent Calligenia from drinking too much, which she only stick out her tongue in response. "That's enough for tonight."
"Wait – We're not done – I'm not!" Calligenia slurred, trying to free herself from his strong grip.
"I'll take it from here." Sebastian announced as he dragged her out of their sight, leaving everyone in amusement as he took off his blazer and placed it on her.
Sebastian led her out of the venue as he held her close to him, noticing her stumble over nothing several times. Luckily, no fans were waiting outside, but a few flashes from the camera burst out of the darkness which meant there were paparazzi still hanging out around the venue. But, he could care less. At this point, he only thought of her and escorted her to rest. Sebastian glanced down at her a couple of times who discovered everything funny at the moment, causing giggles to escape her lips every now and then. He wanted to laugh as well, but it would be rude to laugh at someone's drunken state.
So this is what Ivory felt all along when she looked after me when I got drunk.
Truth be told, Sebastian never dealt with a drunken Ivory before because she always opted to get drunk with her friends. Calling herself the keeper of her brother, Ivory strictly disallowed herself to drink while she was with him, even though she wanted to. And tonight, Sebastian Stan was the keeper of Calligenia Martin.
Once they were in the car, Sebastian immediately drove the car to the hotel nearby since he didn't know where to go. He couldn't possibly get into the plane to New York with a drunken ginger head. Thankfully, the hotel wasn't far from the venue so they could briskly arrive there. Sebastian still held her close as they walked into the hotel, receiving a few astonished gazes from the people who were still waiting in the lobby.
"Y – You smell nice." Calligenia broke out the silence between them, still occasionally hiccupping.
Sebastian chuckled, gently rubbing her arm up and down. "I've been told."
The elevator let out a ding sound before it opened to free them from the two-by-four moving machine, revealing an empty hallway. "What are we doing here?"
"You clearly need rest, Nia."
Calligenia pouted as she saw Sebastian unlock the door of the hotel's room. "But, I'm not tired."
"Sure you don't." Sebastian responded sarcastically, motioning her to come in before he locked the door again.
Calligenia observed every move he made with jaded eyes and in that moment, something stirred inside her. The ginger recalled the moment when Mitchie assumed that she liked Sebastian, but was she though? For all Calligenia knew, this guy had something going on in the past with her, which was why she always had a strong urge to have him all by herself. Calligenia was positively no stranger to his voice and his entire self in general. But, who was he? Was he the guy from E-Mart? Calligenia shook her head, which was a mistake because her head instantly scattered pain and almost made her lose balance. No, no, no the guy wasn't alone that night. He was with a girl that probably fourteen years younger than him.
"What are you thinking about?" Sebastian questioned, frowning in confusion as he noticed her only standing whilst staring at him with fraught curiosity. "Are you feeling okay?"
"I – I know you, aren't I?" Calligenia said. "Because you are strangely resemblant to the guy that night."
Sebastian tilted his head as he stepped closer to her. "What guy?"
Calligenia did the opposite until her back bumped against the wall, still staring straight at him with droopy eyes. "The guy from E-Mart."
"You finally remember?"
The ginger escaped a breathless gasp and instinctively reached up to touch his face, reminding herself of each structure of the guy's face that Calligenia managed to crave into her memory before she fainted. A new tingle sensation radiated off her touch, sending shivers tumbled down his spine.
"It was you."
A smile planted on Sebastian's lips as he also brought his hand to caress her cheek, the other hand tucking a strand of ginger locks behind her ear. "Took me long enough to find you again."
Before Calligenia could even respond, Sebastian brought his hands to hold her face affectionately and slowly pressed his lips on hers, sensing the vestiges of alcohol on her breath. The kiss was the kind of passionate and romantic, but also there was a slight rush of exigent in it. They both had secretly wanted this from the start because of the fervent connection that gravitationally pulled them closer together and it literally needed an ample of issue for them to span this phase.
And at the end of the story, it was definitely a night to remember for the rest of their lives.
