ANOTHER NIGHT HAD PASSED AGAIN, convoying the unintended reality of Sebastian Stan's life. Empty and pointless was probably the right two words to depicture his life for the last five months. Sebastian had not been himself anymore since Calligenia vanished into thin air from his life. The changes that occurred were painfully striking to him, in a short period of time the daily texts, late night calls and rendezvous stopped and since then he had never felt completely alive anymore.
It was like Sebastian lost half of his soul, carried away by Calligenia who refused to return it.
Meeting his friends also would never be the same again, in fact Sebastian often asked permission to leave any event early simply because he felt his friends only reminded him to someone he had hurt. Someone who was very important to him, someone he loved so much. It was absolutely odd to see Calligenia not present in the premiere of the movie that she was starring, hell, he couldn't even bring himself together when the Titan's fight scenes in Infinity War showed up. He would always do something to distract himself, but still, no matter what he did, everything always reminded him of her.
If it was not obvious enough, alcohol surely became Sebastian's best comrade for the past five months. It was the only thing that could replace a bitter reality into a picturesque illusion in his head. Of course everyone was worried sick about him, but they couldn't do anything because it was immensely clear that Calligenia was the only one who could fix him.
"Really? Again?" A voice Sebastian grew to dislike jarring throughout the silent night. "It's two in the morning, Sebastian."
"So?" Sebastian replied with no interest, brushing past her to walk to the kitchen. "I work my ass off to provide your needs, stop protesting."
"Work? Your breath says otherwise." Margarita retorted, crossing her arms over the chest as she watched his movement intently. "It's been five months you acted like this, Sebastian, how much longer should I see you come home late and in a drunken state?"
Sebastian closed the door of the fridge in a bluff, as if he was fed up with her preaching himself. "Yeah and whose fault did I end up like this, huh?"
"What – Are you blaming me now?" Margarita stared at him in disbelief as her arms fell back to her sides, following hot on his trails.
Sebastian plopped himself down on the couch with a bottle of water in his grip, staring at whatever he found interesting when in fact he just didn't want to look at Margarita. The thought of himself would live like this forever enough to frighten him, living with someone he had no affection for at all and a child who somehow he couldn't love wholeheartedly.
Everything about an uncertain future made him want to run away because he was completely drowned in this shallow relationship.
"Look, I don't want to fight with you." Sebastian breathed out and rubbed his temple. "Why don't you go to sleep?"
