"Khushi.. Keep sitting there! Don't you dare get up from that couch" Garima warned from the kitchen

"Amma mein bore ho jauingi Na (Mother I'll get bored)" Khushi whined like a five year old

"Nothing Doing Dr. Khushi Gupta. Stop whining like a kid, Its your engagement. Sit there quietly and let us pamper you" Garima said

"What kind of pampering is this that you aren't even letting me move from the couch on my own Engagement day??" Khushi asked annoyed at her mother

"Because we know how much of a SankaDevi you are. You almost broke your ankle while running here and there. Stop creating trouble for sometime and sit quietly. I'd really be thankful to you if we could Show Up at Raizada Mansion with a perfectly fine bride" Garima said

"You are teasing me na Ma? I won't talk to you Now. And I'll also complaint to Ratna Maa that you were rude to me on my special day" Khushi challenged

"Ooh Now I'm scared" Mocked Garima

"Go and tell your Ratna Maa what antics you were doing and then we'll see who's side does she take" Garima challenged back

"Whatever you say, She'll take my side either way" Khushi said confidently

Garima smiled at her daughter

"Kaun kahega ki teri shaadi hone waali hai, Ab bhi bachpanaa nahi gaya tera (Who'll say you're getting married, You still behave like a child) I'm expecting to get complaints from your Maa everyday after I send you off" Garima said 

"Don't you worry, I'm more responsible than you think I am. Ratna Maa won't complaint to you" Khushi assured 

Just then, Khushi's phone rang

"Arnav" Khushi answered seeing the questioning gaze of her mother

Garima nodded with a smile

"Always helps me at the right time, Now.. For god's sake be busy with your Arnav and sit there quietly, Don't try to move until and unless asked to" Garima warned

"O..kay" Khushi agreed slightly startled,  Wasn't she the one who was giving me death glares just because I was talking to Arnav just a day before yesterday??

Khushi sighed at the retreating figure of her mother

"I've got one weird woman as my mother" Khushi thought with a smile and took the call

Poor Hazel, Vaise haal yahaan bhi same hai... Bas farq itna hai ki mujhe office ka kaam nahi krne de rahi tumhaari MIL (Although, The scenario is same here... The only difference is that your MIL is not allowing me to my office work)

Workaholic Laad-Governor. What else can I expect from you?? At least leave the files alone on your engagement day

There is nothing else to do my dear Hazel, And I'm not used to sitting idle.. You know that!!
