I woke up to my alarm. I reached my hand over and turned it off.

It was already Monday. How great.... ugh.

I climbed out of bed and put on a sweatshirt and white jeans. I left my hair down and brushed my teeth. I slipped my sweatshirt down my shoulder, revealing my bra strap, and smiled at myself in the mirror. I sure am a weird kid.

Then I got a text from Grayson.

Grayson: heyy :)

Aniyah: hi gray, i can't wait to see you today!

Grayson: same

Aniyah: i'm getting ready

Grayson: send me some pics haha

I pulled my sweatshirt down again to reveal my bra strap and took a few mirror pics. In the pics you could see the hickey which I wanted him to see. Then I sent them to him.

Grayson: ooh you is looking fineeeee baby

Aniyah: awe thanks

Grayson: i can't wait to rip that off of you today

Aniyah: 😏

Grayson: i have to get ready, I'll see you in a bit

Aniyah: byeee

I put my phone in my pocket and put on some shoes. I grabbed my backpack and walked downstairs. Mom had already left so I had to walk to school.

Once I got there, I saw a boy with his hood up, getting pushed around in the halls. He was a shorter boy, he had glasses, and a retainer just like me. And he had really green eyes.

The people pushing him around were the bad boys, but Grayson wasn't there. Of course. Just god, why do people have to be like this?

I walked into the crowd of people and pushed the kids away from this boy. He seemed new here, since I hadn't seen him around before.

Aniyah: what is wrong with you guys? what has he ever done to you?

Braiden: he's the new boy, we have every right to do this since he's not welcome here!

Aniyah: and is that his fault that he's new?

All the boys got silent looking at each other. Everyone else in the crowd got silent.

Aniyah: go screw yourselves

I grabbed the boys arm and pulled him out of the crowd.

Aniyah: and all you people just being bystanders? that's just fucked up. go join them and be low life suck-ups.

I pulled the boy into an empty hallway and we sat down on a bench.

Aniyah: hi, I'm aniyah, and you are?

"Logan, thanks for that, how can i pay you back?"

I smiled at him and put my hand onto his.

Aniyah: no need kiddo

Logan: well i have to at least give you something

Aniyah: how about give me your number and we can be friends?

Logan smiled and looked to the side, licking his lips.

Logan: we got ourselves a deal

He grabbed my phone and put his number in it.

Aniyah: if you need anything just text me, I'll be happy to help

Logan: thank you so much

Logan stood up, pulling me up with him, and hugged me.

Aniyah: see you around!

I waved goodbye and ran off to class.

I was sitting in fourth period when I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I took it out to see Logan texting me.

Logan: heyy!

Aniyah: hi, what's up?

Logan: nm, just wanna talk since class is boring as shit

Aniyah: same lol

Logan: so I was wondering if you were free tonight, we could go get some ice cream or something?

Aniyah: I would love to :)

Logan: ok, 6 sound good?

Aniyah: yep! can't wait!

Logan: oh um i have a question

Aniyah: ask away

Logan: why did you step up for me against those bullies?

Aniyah: i couldn't let them push you around like that, nobody deserves to be treated like that, especially you, since you're new and all, they really are some jerks

Logan: yeah, i just feel like i have to make it up to you like somehow

Aniyah: it's fine, you don't need to do anything

Logan: are you sure?

Aniyah: yes I'm absolutely sure

Logan: ok then, i tried at least 😂

Aniyah: i gtg, ttyl!

Logan: byee :)

I put my phone away and the bell rang. I got up and walked out, but was stopped by Braiden, Evan, and Skylar.

Evan: oh so now you're gonna hang out with the new kid? be as lame as him?

Aniyah: it's not right to just push him around like that

Skylar: oh i bet you're gonna start dating him

Aniyah: i'm already dating someone- uh what?
