"Alright, ease it down. If you let go of that rope for even a moment this thing could go tumbling down." I said as everyone inched the boat closer and closer towards the water. We'd opted to lay a series of logs in front of the boat so we can roll the boat along them. Of course there was still the fact that a majority of the camp had to hold the ropes so that the boat didn't fly into the sea and become either lost adrift or smash to pieces.
As the hull of the boat finally reached the water we were able to relax a bit. As the boat began to float Wolfgang, Wigfrid, and I climbed aboard and unfolded the sail, though only partly. We only wanted to see if the boat could handle at least small trips. We were going to sail it over to a small island just barely thirty yards from the shore.
As we made it about fourteen yards from the shore Wigfrid puked over the side of the boat.
"Well, it would seem that the viking gets sea-sick." I said sarcastically as I patted the young woman on the back.
As we finally reached the the side of the tiny island, said island only being big enough to hold one tree and practically nothing else, we circled it and headed back to the shore.
Of course our test wouldn't go as planned. A few holes started leaking in the hull and we had to fully release the sail in order to make it back to shore in time.
Once we were back on the ground I told WX-78 to gather some clay to patch the holes, and sent Wes to have Wickerbottom make some sort of anti-puke remedy for Wigfrid.
"I see your luck is as bad as ever." Maxwell said as he walked beside me.
"As ever."
