"Alright, make sure to bring enough food. We don't want to starve together on a boat while Maxwell makes bets on who'll drop first." I said as I stood on the ship as it bobbed up and down in the water.
"It'll definitely be Wes!" Maxwell yelled from somewhere out of sight. Wes gave a fearful look as Wigfrid licked her lips and rubbing her stomach jokingly.
After I helped Wolfgang load another crate of food onto the boat I noticed Wickerbottom was arguing with Wendy.
"For the last time, we can't bring that thing on the boat! It will eat food we need!" Wickerbottom said as she waved her cane dangerously close to Wendy's head.
In response Wendy just glared and gave Wickerbottom the middle finger. Wickerbottom continued her cane waving.
"Actually he won't. Chester doesn't eat or drink anything, since he's essentially a living storage unit. If he did have the need to eat or drink he would eat whatever you put inside him, which would probably kill him since Wendy only stores inedible things in him." I said as I interrupted Wickerbottom's little tirade.
"Do you honestly think I'm that stupid?" Wickerbottom replied with an irritating confidence.
Instead of laughing or giving a witty response I merely stuck my hand in Chesters mouth and pulled out a rusty old knife.
As Wickerbottom scowled and walked away I gave Wendy an alarmed look. She took the knife and put it back in Chester as she backed away.
"It's probably best to just let her keep that and not ask questions." Willow said as she came up behind me.
"Yeah, I'm just going to pretend I didn't see that." I said as I gave Willow a hug.
"Wilson, you know I love you... But I need to be breath!" she said as she pried my arms loose.
"And here I thought you were used to my steel grip."
"About as much as you've gotten used to Wickerbottom being helpful."
"I have yet to see it happen." I said sarcastically.
"I've gotta go help Webber load some more supplies, try not to throw Maxwell off while I'm gone." she said as she kissed my cheek and walked away.
"Now!" I yelled as I helped Willow and Woody release the sail. After that Wolfgang, Wigfrid, and Maxwell pushed the boat away from the shore and climbed back on using ropes. We helped them climb up as WX-78 manned the wheel.
With the sail completely open we were gliding through the waves at incredible speed, the boat bobbing here and there.
"Which direction Maxwell?" I asked as I stood to the right of WX-78, Maxwell on his left.
"Right that-a way!" he exclaimed and pointed south, WX-78 changing course to match the new directions.
"Keep an eye out to the left and right of us, never know if one of these islands will have something interesting on them."
"It's port and starboard, you animal. Besides, what could these islands have that we'd need or want except that altar?"
"I don't know. Maybe they'll have treasure or supplies. Heck maybe there'll even be an island of city dwelling pigmen who wear fancy clothes." I said with a laugh.
"Oh don't be silly, I would never make that because I lost a bet and put it far far away from the main island in an attempt to hide the shame." he said nervously.
"Who did you lose a bet to and who the hell made you that bet?" I asked with an entertained curiosity.
"It was a bet with the original Maxwell. He bet that I couldn't make humans from scratch. If I had won he would have played cards with me, but if I lost I had to make a hamlet of fancy pigs to simulate human society."
"All that to play cards?"
"It was before he'd brought anyone here okay, I didn't have made scientists to talk to only a depressed guy in a chair."
"Maybe we'll visit that island just to spite you."
"You wouldn't."
"I will survey nearby islands for fancy pigs." WX-78 interjected.
I gave a loud laugh as I walked away from a red-faced Maxwell.
