"WIGFRID PUT HER DOWN!" Willow yelled as I walked into the camp.
I had never thought that I would see my five year old daughter being used as a baseball bat by a viking to threaten a lumberjack.
"What in the world is happening?" I said almost unsurprised at Wigfrid's actions.
"Woody threatened Webber while he and Wigfrid were playing with Whitney and then this happened." Willow said as Whitney decided to start making scary faces at Woody while Wigfrid continued to wave her around by the ankles.
"Wigfrid put her down before I get my ax." I said calmly stepping over to my adoptive child who was holding my blood child.
"Fine..." Wigfrid quickly put Whitney on the ground, though she did wink to Whitney who then giggled before jumping at Woody and swiftly grabbing his ax Lucy and running behind me.
"Why you little-" Woody started.
"Choose your next words very carefully." I interrupted.
Woody opted to keep his mouth shut and ran as fast as he could after I handed him Lucy.
"Now sweetie, what did I tell you about helping Wigfrid with her little schemes?"
"Make sure that Mama isn't around." Whitney replied happily, despite the presence of said mother.
"N-No, I said that you shouldn't go along with them." I said nervously, hearing Willow's lighter click as she started the flames.
"I'm not bailing you out this time Papa." Whitney said as she gave a wicked smirk I'd only seen from her mother.
I turned around and saw that Willow was ready to give me one hell of a burn but then out of the corner of my eye I saw the gate to the camp. And for once I was glad to see that bastard.
"I think we could use some more firewood! I'll be back in a bit!" I said running as fast as my legs could carry me to the gate.
"You know Maxwell it's only been about ten, twenty minutes since our first chat. So what do you want?"
"First off, I just gave you a reason to run away from your wife with your tail between your legs. Second, I may have found a lead in our little caper."
"That is unrealistically quick even for you."
"Well unlike you I'm able to search the world of my own creation in a matter of minutes."
"If by 'world of your own creation' you mean the one created by the real Maxwell and is currently being reigned over by Charlie. That aside, what exactly is this lead?"
"There's an altar that houses a special book. Said book is connected to me, though I can't figure out how. All I know is that when I appear around it I feel a strong pull."
"Let me get this straight. Six years after I thought I was rid of you, you decide that you want my help to free yourself. And instead of searching before hand you decided to wait till after asking me and essential make it feel as rushed as inhumanly possible?"
"Yes, but it sounds bad when you say it like that."
I gave an exhausted sigh. "Okay... Where is this alter?"
"You're not going to like it."
"Maxwell..."
"It's on a different island."
"Go burn in whatever shadowy hell you came from."
And with that I walked back to the camp, thoroughly fed up with Maxwell and his ludicrous schemes, tricks, and lies.
