It’s been a few days and I’ve been left alone. The only person that I’ve seen would be Daisy, the girl that had cleaned me up, and that was okay with me. I preferred her company over any of the other three’s. I smiled again as I watched her walk in curiously, a tray of food perched on her outspread arm. She sent me a small smile, the same one she wore every time that she came in. I could tell she wishes that she could do more for me, but I was fine- at least I was fine now. I would be fine until they began visiting me again, and I knew that was going to be soon. There was a chair with wheels that they had allowed her to bring in on the second day, and she made her way over to it and sat down.

“How’s your brother?” I questioned, tone light- just like I have every day for the past week.

“Well, they’re feeding him so he’s doing good.” She muttered quietly looking down. “Just wish I had protected him better, than none of us would be in this situation.”

“I still would have, and it would have been much worse if it wasn’t for you. Besides, you’re 15 you did better than anyone could have ever guessed. Don’t knock yourself down, besides he’s getting food now. That’s much better than any other situation you lot have been in.” I encouraged. She shot me a thankful smile before untying my hands and handing me the two skewers of meat. I shook my head, taking one and letting her have the second one- much like I had done the entire week as well. We ate in a comfortable silence, me occasionally glancing over to make sure she ate enough. When our eyes met I smiled, not worried about anything but this moment right now.

To be honest, I had no bloody idea what I was doing- or why for that matter. I had a hunch, a bad feeling in my gut, and honestly I just wanted it to go away. I had been thinking of Niall this whole week, not that I would voice my thoughts, and had finally convinced the doctor to let me help him find the cure. Sure, it could backfire dramatically or it could help figure out the truth behind this whole thing. It was halfway through the day and the doctor had told me to meet him at the building in the middle of the compound at noon- which incidentally was in 5 minutes. I sighed, making my way out of our room and gingerly walked to the building that wasn’t too far away. He said it counted as my ‘pay to stay’- yes that was exactly what he had said-it was like doing chores or something. The other lads all had things to do: Harry had cooking duty, Zayn was helping with washing sheets and stuff from the building I was going to along with Louis, and I was helping ‘find the cure’. I reached the building, the doctor leaning casually against it. I glanced up, marveling at the beauty of the place before I was snapped from my gawking by the man snapping in my face.
