So maybe keeping the one guy that seemed madly in love and overprotective of this boy withering on the floor so close was a bad idea. The second that I pierced his skin, and the second he cried out the blonde’s eyes were on me, and they didn’t look happy at all.

“What the fuck are you doing?!?!” he yelled, probably forgetting where he was because of the rage. I jumped over the quivering boy on the ground, and pushed the blonde up against the tree, my hand covering his.

“Shut the hell up. I’m helping him, let me help him or he will die. It’s already began to scab over slightly, I need to get the virus out. Okay? So calm the fuck down, and let me do what I do.” I hissed quietly, anger lacing my tone. He nodded, albeit a little hesitantly, but nodded nonetheless. I nodded glancing around to make sure there were no walkers. It was hard enough doing this, we didn’t need walkers to make it any worse.

I saw the other two strangers standing, their gazes shifted our way before it circled around the whole clearing. At least I could depend on them right now. There was slight shuffling, and then one of the strangers fell to the ground a short grunt leaving his lips.

“Fuck.” I muttered quietly. “You blondie, watch over him for a second I need to make sure your mates don’t get killed.” I hissed quietly and he nodded solemnly. I quietly ran into the meadow, booking it to the place that one of the lads had fallen over at. As soon as I got there I stopped in my tracks holding in laughter that was threatening to bubble out of my throat. The lad with the lilac tips was lying on the ground, eyes wide and scared, a knife to his throat and a protective Liam pinning him to the ground.

“Liam, Liam, he’s okay. He’s fine.” I muttered amused, gently prying him off the petrified boy. He got off, a little unwillingly, and still stood in a hostile stance while glaring down at the boy. “Go back to sleep, we’ll talk about this in the morning. You need the sleep, tomorrow is going to be busy. Just trust me on this one, okay?” I whispered, he seemed taken aback by the desperation in my voice but nodded anyways, sleepily walking back to where he was previously laying and lied back down- his knife clutched tightly in his grip as he drifted off once again. “I wish I could go to sleep that easy.” I mumbled under my breath before reaching down and helping the lad on the ground up.

“Thanks.” He mumbled shyly, looking down at the ground.

“Don’t worry about it, not yet anyways.” I said, smirk on my face. But then it hit me, where was the other lad? I glanced around to see him lying on the ground, unconscious and I had to give Liam credit- because not even I could see him coming. He was quick.
