Taehyung cursed under his breath as his hands froze. He couldn't believe that he could make Jisoo cry. Ever.
He stepped closer, "Jisoo," he croaked out.
She didn't reply, her shoulders sank as she tried to conceal her pain, her tears, her feelings. Jisoo didn't like being the topic of discussion, never wanted to burden others with her own baggage. She always fought it.
"Don't," she sobbed. "Head back, they must be worried."
Taehyung scoffed, "I can't."
"I'm fine."
"You're terrible at lying." He whispered.
This time, she spun around on her heel. Facing him. Her eyes were glazed with tears as a few slipped down, staining her pink cheeks. A red colour overcame her eyes, puffiness was visible around the area of her eyes. The sight broke Taehyung apart.
"And so are you!" She screamed, frustrated.
Her chest wasn't steady and her breathing wavered.
Taehyung wanted the ground to open up and swallow him. His words had a strong impact on a girl like Jisoo. She didn't stand tall and proud, she didn't make witty remarks while arguing with him, she didn't show off her sass.
Instead, she let the vulnerability get to her.
Taehyung didn't realize when he walked closer to Jisoo, their bodies were just inches away from completely molding against each other.
Without thinking over his stunts, he moved closer until his fingers hovered over her face. He moved his thumb under her eyes, wiping her tears ever so gently. The last thing he wanted was to see the girl he held the most dear to him, cry.
Jisoo held back her loud sobs as she dropped her hands from her face and put them on Taehyung's chest, to balance her body. The small action made Taehyung feel a sensation run up and down his spine. The position was so intimate. It felt wrong.
Making sure no trace of a tear was available on her cheeks, he withdrew his hands. "I'm a terrible person," he whispered.
Jisoo had her head hung low, absentmindedly moving towards him before her head completely landed on his hard chest.
She closed her eyes as she wrapped her small arms around him. Nothing but fabric in between them.
He wasn't surprised, at all. He knew if she didn't embrace him, he would've done it without any hesitation.
"You sure are." She muttered.
Taehyung stroke her back, trying to soothe her. Time seemed to stand still. Just the two of them, alone.
"Don't do this to yourself, please." She whispered ever so hushly.
Taehyung shook his head, "I'm sorry."
She sniffled and gazed up at his well built face, taking in his features.
He was overly handsome.
His dark brown hair was swept to the side. His natural tan shone brightly under the sun kissed field. His shoulders were broad, his chest was hard and muscular. His jaw was clenched, showcasing his sharp jawline. His eyes were elegant with complete pureness. His height hovered over Jisoo, they fit perfectly against each other.
Jisoo wondered why she hadn't noticed his extreme visuals before. She could stare at the boy embracing her the whole day. His hands moved from her waist to her face, cupping it. His forehead touched hers as they closed their eyes.
"I know I shouldn't be this close to you, I have no right to be. But," he opened his eyes. "Let's calm down, together."
Jisoo flinched at his words, pondering over what he said about having no right to be close to her.
Their breaths mingled together as silence fell upon them. Even the crickets seemed to quiet down.
Taehyung placed one of his hand on her eyes, closing them. His other hand was on her cheek on which she seemed to lean on.
"Let's make a deal," she whispered.
Taehyung hummed in response, keeping his eyes taste pitch darkness.
"You'll let me help you recover and as return," she stopped. "I'll let you have the right to be close to me, as much as you like."
Taehyung opened his eyes, stared at Jisoo wide eyed.
Their lips slightly brushed against each others' but no one highlighted it. Intimacy was a common thing between the two without getting flustered.
Taehyung withdrew his hand, taking a step back. This caught Jisoo off guard.
"Sorry, I crossed the line." He mumbled.
Jisoo nodded, in disappointment.
"Tae, let's head back." She smiled at him.
His eyes bored into hers before he smiled too, "Let's go, Chu."
Jisoo froze, "Chu?"
Taehyung gulped, "Y-you don't like it?"
Grinning, she stepped closer to Taehyung. Her hands reached up to ruffle his hair. "I love it."
Taehyung exhaled out of relief, "I thought you would go cobra on me. You know, the nickname doesn't fit your tough image." He chuckled.
She shook her head, amused.
It was funny how the environment would change in a matter of seconds, they would move on with their lives as if nothing happened.
They were both spiritually connected.
Hey guys!
*Wipes sweat* I wrote this at two am. Yikes. Probably why this chapter pretty much sucks.
