The morning started with Taehyung's chest erupting with heavy coughs. His temperature rose up, his forehead was warmer than usual, natural for a person suffering from fever. He had not been going to college for three days in a row, cursing his weak immune system for making him miss so many classes.

The worst part was that he didn't get to see Jisoo these days.

He missed her presence, her laugh, her eye smile, her lame ass dad jokes, how she got frustrated because of winter being cruel to her, how she comforted him in his darkest hours.

Jisoo was able to unravel his dark side day by day, she could read him like an open book. She didn't hesitate to contact him whenever she felt like spending time with him.

Ever since her little confession about wanting to flip Taehyung's world upside down and wanting to push him through the dark tunnel, longing for light at the end was what Taehyung begged for. And Jisoo brought him closer and closer to the destination.

"What's got you thinking so hard, Tae?" A smooth voice spoke, he didn't waste a second in looking up.

Jisoo stood there, a frown plastered over her face. She was indeed worried, but Taehyung sensed anger as well.

"H-hey, Jisoo.."

Jisoo took small steps towards Taehyung's bed, the bed creaking as soon as she sat on the edge, keeping a small distance between the two.

"How do you feel now?" She softly asked.

"Better, I guess."

Jisoo took a deep breath before placing a hand on his forehead, "It feels just like when we first met, doesn't it?"

He could only nod.

Jisoo withdrew her hand and placed a small bag on the side table. "They're necessary medicines for all the side effects that come with fever and flu. I brought soup as well, Jungkook will store it in the refrigerator for now. Drink it in the evening and take medicines on time-"

He placed a finger on her mouth, gently shushing her.

She shot an incredulous look towards him, asking why he performed that action.

"You're mad at me."

"I'm not."

"Yes, you are. What did I do?"

"Nothing, I'm not mad."

"Jisoo," Taehyung sighed.

"What?" She moved her gaze to the floor.

"I'm sorry for whatever I did-"

"Am I really not that important to you Tae?"

His heart skipped a beat, "What?"

She stood up, furrowing her eyebrows, "Am I seriously just another person in your life? You hid your illness from me. Not a call, not a text, not even letting Jungkook tell me! I thought you trusted me! You know how worried I was?! I couldn't sleep! You can't just cut someone out like that from your life, Tae-"

He stood up and immediately hugged her.

"I'm sorry," he whispered. " I didn't want to burden you with so much emotional and physical baggage."

Jisoo let her heart win instead of her mind and wrapped her arms around his torso as well, "Don't ever suffer alone, please."

Her voice expressed willingness to help him, true generosity, her eyes weren't lying. She did care about his well being.

"I promise, I won't." He whispered against her ear.

She pulled away and smiled at him, his arms still around her waist and her hand placed on his torso. They both wished to stay like this forever, but they were both blind to the other person's feelings.

Jisoo pulled away for real this time, "You should rest now, I'll get going."

He was quick to grab her wrist, her eyes moved down to their hands. "Yeah?"

"Stay with me."

Her eyes widened but she unconsciously nodded, not trusting her speaking abilities. "Of course, Tae."

He smiled and was tucked into the bed again with Jisoo besides him, she ranted about stuff as Taehyung closely listened and cracked a smile at her words.

One thing was sure for Taehyung, Jisoo wasn't just a crush anymore.
