Hoseok doesn't even hear Hyungwon entering his room and only when the younger boy wraps his arms around him, he realizes what happens. His heartbeat goes from normal to double speed in just a few seconds, causing his head to turn red. Why is he here? He never wanted Hyungwon to see him cry.
"H-Hyungwon?" he asks, his voice weak from crying. "What are y-you doing?"
"I-I came h-her to c-comfort you... I guess." He whispers. "I heard y-you crying a-and I was s-so worried. I-is s-something wrong?"
Hoseok shakes his head, immediately forgetting he was hurt. Just hearing Hyungwon's broken voice, makes him forget everything he was mad about. Hyungwon is more important than sinking into self-pity.
He slowly turns around and looks at the other boy. He didn't seem to feel better, his eyes were red, and his skin was pale. It hurts Hoseok, to see Hyungwon like this again. Crying and sad over something that is most likely caused by himself.
"I was crying because I am mad at myself, for making you uncomfortable. I can't even express how sorry I am for this." Hoseok whispers.
Now it's Hyungwon who shakes his head. "It's also my fault. I am just so confused over everything that is happening and I just need some time for myself to think."
"Y-You're not mad at me?" Hoseok asks confused.
"No why should I be? I already told you that this was just very surprising, and I probably overreacted. I mean you didn't put any feelings in this right?"
Hoseoks heart jumps a little from this sudden question. What should he tell him? The truth? That he didn't really think about everything and that he could have done so many other things to hide? That he just saw this one escape and that he enjoyed it more than he should? Should he really tell him that after this kiss, he discovered that he feels more than friendship towards the younger boy? That this kiss made his emotions explode and he wanted to touch him, kiss him, make him laugh and just feel like the most special person on this planet? Probably not. This would make everything even more complicated than it already is.
"R-right. I did this b-because I didn't know what else to do. There weren't any feelings involved."
Hyungwon slightly smiles. It seems odd. The way Hyungwon tries to move the corners of his mouth upwards is weird. It doesn't feel right but Hoseok is probably imagining things that aren't even real.
"I am relived." Hyungwon quietly says. "I probably should go back to sleep now."
"A-are you sure? You don't look good. If anything is wrong, you must tell me." Hoseok asks, obviously worried for the younger male.
"Yeah I am fine."
"Do you want to stay here over night?" Hoseok shyly asks, not knowing if this is already too much. But they have been sharing a bed before and there wasn't any problem either, so why shouldn't they do now?
To Hoseoks surprise Hyungwon shakes his head and slowly gets up from the bed. "I don't think so. I mean of course I would like to, but as I said I need some time for myself now." His last words are just a whisper and Hoseoks worries start to grow even more. There must be something wrong with him. He knows it.
Hoseok nods his head. "Of course. I respect your decision. S-sleep well then."
Hyungwon waves in Hoseoks direction, awkwardly smiling as he leaves the room. After he closed the door behind him Hyungwon quickly moves to his place on the couch, where he lays down under the blanket, heavy breathing, and tears in his eyes.
