VII: disco
I finally found out what the surprise was going to be for the end of the day. I heard them talking about it in secret and I have excellent eavesdropping skills. Ashley and Andrew were planning to bring me to a party down the street in celebration of my success. They heard great things about it and were dying to take me. I wonder where they heard of the party then. I had to tell them I wanted to go. So of course I told them I would go and they at first acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. Afterwards, when I told them I had heard their conversation, they cheered, expecting that I would say no or something like that. I have no idea how it's going to be but I know for a fact that I will arrive to the hotel tired like every other day but that's okay. I love celebrating things to be honest and I am so happy that they are taking me to this party. A party in the city is going to be intense and fun. The rest of the day, I just pass the day sitting down watching tv and eating with both of them. We don't really want to waste all of our energy before the party tonight. That would be really tragic.
Finally, the night comes and we are ready to go to the party. I get ready and put on this red dress that I brought and it honestly looks stunning on me. Of course, I have to put a coat over it since it is still freezing over here but it's fine. I will wear my jean jacket that has fur on the inside. That jacket is super cozy for the cold. The red dress is different one than the one I wore on New Years Day because that one was a sparkly red dress, this one is a classic just plain red dress and I put on red high heels. Andrew put on his racer jacket and some jeans. Ashley is wearing an oversized black sweater and black jeans. She honestly looks so good in anything she wears, it is astonishing. I look in the mirror and decide that I am actually not going to wear this red dress. Absolutely not. It's not a fancy place, I realize. I take my heels off and put on my sneakers. I take one of Ashley's peach sweater and throwing it on. I feel better and look better. What was I thinking in showing up to that party wearing that long red dress? I keep forgetting that this is my day off not my day of signing or presenting, where I do need to dress somewhat fancy for the pictures and cameras. We arrive at the place and the security guard at the front of the door asks for our names. After we give our names to him, he lets us in and we step inside.
"How did we get in? We aren't even of age!" I ask Andrew over the loud music.
He winked at me and just told me to enjoy.
It's dark and damp inside and I can feel the bass from the music rattle on the ground.
Andrew steps into the crowd of people dancing cray under the fluorescent disco lights. I check out all the people and they are mostly people in their early 20's and they are all packed together in this room, dancing together.
I look at Ashely, we both have an expression of curiosity and nervousness, we finally go get some fruit punch from the corner. In reality it's fruit punch mixed with some type of alcohol. Probably vodka. After we finish drinking some, into the crowd we go. Ashley starts dancing with a bunch of random guys and then I spotted her kissing one. Drunk Ashley. I'll just let her have fun, what else can I do? I'll just keep an eye on her to make sure she's fine every now and then. The music blaring all around, my body starts to let go and move to the heavy music playing. I feel fuzzy from the drink but that still doesn't stop me from dancing. People are all around me but I somehow mange to find Andrew in the crowd and we start dancing together. The last thing I remember doing was partying my heart out and then crashing my head onto the pillow again with Andrew. He kissed me goodnight and that's the last thing I felt. That's when you know you had an amazing and fun night.

My last couple of days in New York were a blast but I started to get home sick very easily. I missed my house and my parents. My last day there was so sad but so much fun. We ran around the hotel, we ran around the mall, we went to take pictures downtown, we did so many things all in one day. It was epic. I will be back to New York, probably later in life, but this was one hell of an experience. I loved every minute of it.
