Our daughter, Aria, was born on November 28, 2015 & the Jingle Ball show was December 5, exactly a week after my daughter came into the world six weeks early. It was a crazy week for sure. My mom was a huge help with Aria, since I had rehearsals with the band. It was so great being with my brothers again. It was as if no time had passed that we were apart. We picked right up where we had left off & never missed a beat. I was excited for this show.

Every night we were rehearsing, I would get home pretty late & Demi would either be sleeping or be feeding the baby. I made sure I kissed her hello no matter what she was doing, though. I was looking forward to this concert being over, so we could just enjoy our daughter as we prepared for the holidays. Our daughter's first Christmas. Wow. It wasn't supposed to be this year. She wasn't supposed to be here until after New Year's, but here she was.

One night, when I got home, Demi was just getting into bed. Her tired face lit up when she saw me walk in the bedroom. "Babe! I missed you. How was rehearsal?"

I hurried to the bed, to help her lift her leg up onto the bed. "It was great. I really want to do music next year."

"Instead of acting?" Demi asked, her forehead wrinkled.

I sat down on the bed, facing her. "I'll keep doing my show, but I need to make a new album."

"Another solo one?"

I pressed my lips together & looked down. "I kinda want to see how this show goes & if it goes okay, I may see if the guys want to reunite for good."

Demi's smile got enormous & she clapped her hands. "Yay! I would love a Jonas Brothers reunion. You know I'm your biggest fan." She said, coyly.

"You are?" I asked, pretending to not believe her.

She laughed & nodded her head. Her teeth came over her bottom lip as she leaned to run her fingers up my thigh. "I kinda gotta crush on one of the guys."

I narrowed my eyes at her & looked at her sideways. "I knew you had a thing for Joe. Damn Jemi. Can't get away from them."

Demi's eyes met mine & she tilted her head. "Didn't you hear? I picked the wrong lover, I shoulda picked that one, he's cuter than the other." Demi pointed at me & smiled, sweetly.

I chuckled. "He better not have been your lover. So you got a crush on me?" I pretended to be oblivious.

Demi's hands grabbed my shirt & yanked me against her, so our lips were almost touching. "You know I got it bad, too, because I can't keep my hands off of you."

I smiled as my lips met hers. She sighed beneath me & I felt myself getting warm. "Okay, well you are gonna have to, because we can't have sex for a few more weeks."

Demi sighed in frustration, a little louder this time. "I know. I know. But dammit, Jonas, I am attacking you the moment I am allowed to have sex again. Just to warn ya."

I laughed against her mouth as she kissed me again. "Thanks for the warning. I'll be sure to keep my guard up in five weeks or so." Demi grabbed me again to kiss me hard & I didn't pull away for a few minutes. I kissed her for several minutes, torturing myself before I got into bed to hold her as she fell asleep.

The night of the show, I left early in the morning so I could meet the band for breakfast before we headed to the arena for sound check. Demi was awake when I left, propped up on the couch with Aria in her arms as she fed her. My mom was in the kitchen making Demi something to eat.

"One of the guys will skype ya tonight, but I have no idea what time, so I'll call ya later with a time, okay?" I said as I was getting all my stuff together.

"Sounds good. I can't wait to see the show. They are gonna keep me on skype for the whole thing, right? I want to see your set." Demi was looking down at Aria, a soft smile on her lips.

"Yea, I will make sure they do." I flung my backpack over my shoulder & walked to Demi. I bent down to kiss her smile. "You girls have a great day. I'll call you later, Love." I kissed her again. Demi lifted Aria in her arms, a little, so I could kiss her head. "I love you, baby girl." I said against Aria's soft forehead. I looked at Demi again. "I love you, too." I said before I kissed her once more.

"We love you." Demi said as I made my way to the kitchen where I said goodbye to my mom.

One of the tech guys set up a computer with a camera on the side of the stage & put a big projector screen up behind the drum kit, so we could skype Demi in at some point during our set. I know she wanted to apologize for not being there & she was going to announce some shows she would do in the spring. We were also going to show the world that was watching the show, our daughter on camera, as long as she cooperated. They had seen photos, but this would be her real debut, in the flesh.

I was being hounded wherever I went with questions about me & Demi or the baby. Suddenly, I was Mr. It Man again. I was who everyone wanted an interview with. Everyone loved me again. I just wanted to play my music. I didn't care about the fake ass people in Hollywood.

When my brothers & I took the stage that night, it was incredible. The crowd welcomed us back with enthusiasm, making us all feel like we never broke up for a few years. The crowd went bonkers when Demi came on the huge screen behind us. "Hi, guys!" Demi said into the camera with her beautiful bright smile that gave me butterflies no matter where I was. "I'm so sorry I couldn't be there to perform for you all tonight, but I promise I will do a show very soon & hope all of you can make it. Look for a few shows in the spring some time. In the meantime, I know you're probably enjoying the Jonas Brothers reunion as much as I am, so I'm kind of glad I had my daughter early, so she could see her daddy perform." Demi sat back a little & you could see my mom place Aria in her arms. Demi smiled, proudly, as she turned Aria toward the camera. The audience all screamed after a collective, 'Awwwwww.' I couldn't wipe the smile off my own face. "Say hi to Daddy." Demi said then laughed when she made Aria's little hand wave. I blew them a kiss, fighting the urge to cry from the pure joy I was feeling right now. "Have a great show, Daddy. We love you & love all of you. Bye!" Demi waved & smiled, then the screen went black & my brother, Kevin started playing, "Lovebug."

I didn't want to come off the stage that night. I forgot how much I loved being on stage & performing. I was on such a high as I made my way to the dressing rooms. We all were. As the guys were all in the room, wiping off their sweat & changing clothes, I felt like I had to say it now.

"Guys, that was awesome." I said, not containing my excitement. All the guys nodded in agreement. "What do you think about getting the band back together?" I asked, almost holding my breath as I watched their faces.

Joe was the first to speak. "I'm all for it. You guys are my brothers as well as my best friends & I'd be honored to be a band with all of you again."

"Same here." Kevin smiled. "I mean I know it's going to be a challenge with Nick & I having kids, but we can figure something out."

"I'm excited to see how our musical abilities & songwriting skills have matured in the last few years." John piped in. Greg nodded in agreement with John. Jack & Ryan smiled, nodding, saying nothing.

"So we're all on board for a Jonas Brothers reunion?" I asked, sounding hopeful.

It was unanimous. All the guys were as pumped about it as I was. "I say we take the holidays to enjoy our lives, the quiet & relax & then next year.... BAM! We hit the studio & make some killer music!" John was almost jumping up & down with excitement.

"Sounds good, John. I just want to make music again & I can't imagine doing it with anyone else." I was so happy right now, I wanted to shout from the rooftop. Music was my life. Sure, I liked acting, but music is what made me happiest. And being with my best friends again was the epitome of bliss. I couldn't wait to get started on writing again.
