This Side Of My Skin

On that side it's blue

And on this one it's gray

Blue because of my grief

And gray because of my loneliness

Both equally bitter

Uncommon is my lavender skin

Lavender for the affection

I am quick to give

Not uncommon is the side that is red

Red for passion

In anger and in love and in all my regret

This side is white because I am afraid

Afraid of most everything

The side for my happiness is pink,

The ugly kind

I don't let everyone see that one

I don't let anyone see it in the light

That side of my skin is my lethargy

No one knows why it is yellow

But it is

And this side of my skin is green,

Green for my envy

They see this one often

They just don't realize that it's green

One side of my skin is orange

Because I really don't like orange

And I don't like myself

Everything is orange

I hate orange
