Your thoughts and fears and celebrations all along your walls
Little pieces of life in neat little rows
Feelings and people on squares of neon yellow
Sometimes a diary sometimes a suicide note
Always conflicted
Bipolar expression captured day to day in the most public privacy available
Before you sleep and once you wake
What are you afraid of hiding tonight
Fighting and forgetting and trying to feel pretty
Apprehensions and victories and friends you don't see anymore
Not singing or dancing but quietly listening
You won and you cried and he texted you all night
A thousand things only you see
Sticky notes that always fall off
And the worry that this is all you get
A mechanical pencil and a book you read
Self-shames and friendaversaries
School praise masking the complaints
And the day you stopped denying that he is all you think about
Your entire being, or at least your quieter voices
A three to five line personality
And the things you don't say out loud
You are impulse motivated
Sentiment designed
Your walls are covered in sticky notes
You aren't quite sure why
