pov Dave Strider
"Karklesss hurry uppp we're going to be late to Rose and Kanaya's partyy" I say calling up the stairs as I wait for my boyfriend
"Shut the fuck up Dave. I was just brushing my hair but this pile of shit is impossible to fucking tame."
He comes stomping down the stairs in his usual cancer sweater, grey jeans, and a black pair of beat up converse.
I watch him walk down the stairs although he isn't able to tell because of my shades and I stare in awe... Karkat and I started dating a month after he moved in... therefore we've been together for almost 7 months. We grew to trust each other before growing mutual feelings and I asked him out, being the cool kid I am.
I've never gotten around to telling him about my red eyes... the thought of him leaving me for it has scared me multiple times. In time he just stopped asking about my shades, although sometimes he attempts to get them off he ends up failing every time.
"Hello? Earth to fucking Dave." I hear him say snapping me out of my thoughts
"Oh sorry Karks I just got distracted by your cuteness"
"Ohmygog shut the fuck up before I change my mind on coming to this stupid ass party."
We step outside, into the cold getting into my truck. Our friends Rose and Kanaya has invited karkles and I plus a few other friends over to their house for a party-like event.
I expected it to be like every other time we have been there. The casual party games, music, and of course alcohol. I told Karkat he could do as much drinking as he wanted to speaking since I'd be driving the two of us home.
It's been awhile since kitkat has last relaxed and I feel like he needs a bit of a breather from the world.
We soon approach our friends house and I park on their street before exiting my car. I walk over to Karkat's side opening the door for him and helping him down from my talk truck.
He rolls his eyes at me causing me to laugh
"Gog shut the fuck up you asshat"
I laugh even more as Karkat storms away from me running up to the door.
Gosh he's such a dork
I join him up by the door as we wait in cold silence for a few seconds before the door in front of us swings open.
We are greeted by the smell of alcohol and sweat and the sound of loud music playing in the background.
"Hey guysss!!! I'm so glad you two made it!"
A somewhat drunk Rose answered the door and pulls us inside embracing the two of us into her arms.
"For fucks sake Rose. The party just started and you're already getting drunk? You humans are pathetic"
I roll my eyes at Karkat's comment before running my hands through his hair quickly.
"Karks why don't you go hang out with some of the other trolls. I'm going to go look for John really quick"
Karkat gives me a concerning look before slowly nodding his head and running off.
I've always had the feeling Karkat doesn't trust me around John. Or more of doesn't trust John around me. Especially if he's drunk. He's always had the vibe that John likes me even though the dude claims he's straight... No one can resist a Strider.
I know Karkat has nothing to worry about because John is just my bro. Karkat is my boyfriend and I intend to keep it that way by not screwing anything up.
I stride over to the bar-island like area where all the drinks were and search for John.
I spot him and Jane in the corner taking long sips of what I'm assuming is beer. He must have spotted me out of the corner of his eye because before I knew it I had a somewhat drunk John giving me a huge hug and talking about how much he missed me.
"Heyyy bro what's up. It's been awhile I'm glad you made it to the party"
"Oh well yea of course! I'd never miss this for the world! I love the parties Kanaya and Rose throw! They're soooo fun" He slides his glasses up a bit with his pointer finger before taking another sip of his beer.
Before either of us could say another word Kanaya is turning down the music and tries to grab everyone's attention.
"Excuse me humans and trolls. If I may please have your attention for a second. We are going to be starting party games soon so if you could all please meet in the carpet. Thank you very much."
Jane approaches the two of us giving me a quick greeting before we walk over to the living room carpet joining everyone else that was there.
I search for Karkat and see him getting his Poot ears talked off by his brother Kankri and I walk up to him sitting down.
"Hey babe how's the party going so far?"
"It was decent until this jackass came over to see me talking with Sollux and making fun of his stupid lisp."
I look over to see Cronus trying to calm his matesprit down and I let out a small laugh before reaching over and intertwining Karkat's hand with mine.
He was a little shocked at first but then he melted into my touch and leaned the rest of his body up against mine.
We all watched as Kanaya and Rose entered the living room with a black hat filled with paper in their hands.
"Hello everyone. Thank you all so much for joining us here tonight. We thought we would get a head start on the party games and get things going. We wanted to start off with seven minutes in heaven. We have all of the couples names written on the same piece of paper in this hat so there's no arguing and that would be Rose and I, Sollux and Eridan, Vriska and Terezi, Dave and Karkat, Dirk and Jake, Roxy and Jane, Kankri and Cronus, Gamzee and Tavros, etc. Those of you who do not have a relationship of any kind have been out into the hat by yourself and you are to be picked with a different person."
"And the first people that will be going is...."
I squeeze Karkat's hand a bit causing him to jump up because t was unexpected. Oh my gosh... he's so cute.
"Karkat and Dave"
I hear Rose say my name so I look up and process what just happened.
Pov Karkat
I hear the sound of Dave and I's name boom across the room and my face goes red.
First damn ones to get called.... You've got to be shitting me.
I glance over at Dave to see him looking down at me.
I make a weird face before poking his cheek.
"The fuck are you looking at nerd?"
"Sigh... So mean yet so precious..."
I roll my eyes before standing up and Dave joins me.
Rose and Kanaya lead us over to one of their larger closets and everyone except my brother of course is cheering in the background.
I enter first my face still being slightly flustered and Dave enters after me before the door is slammed on us and we hear a lock from the other side.
"Who the living fuck keeps a lock on the outside of a damn closet. That makes zero fucking sense."
Dave just laughs at me before we hear a shout through the door.
"SEVEN MINUTES START NOW!!"
I let out a long sigh and Dave slowly approaches me.
"So kitten... Seven minutes to do whatever we want... Got anything in mind?"
My face heats up before I cover my face with my hands.
"Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshwhyme"
I hear Dave laugh at me before he gently pushes me against the wall.
"Don't worry kitten. I'll make this the best seven minutes of your life"
I look up at Dave as he stands over me with his arms on both sides of my body and his face slowly inches closer to mine....

WhOoP jk. That's not the ending. It's just late and I have dEbAtE tomorrow. NEED I SAY MY PARTNER AND I ARE CRUSHING THE COMPETITION. I wrote this more you guys cuz ik you all love when I update. Expect a bunch more updates this weekend cuz imma be forcing myself to write a shit ton. I'm still thinking of doing that face reveal I dunno yet.... Do any of you guys even read my author notes? I would assume not... they're kind of dumb... And I was indeed thinking of making a part two for Suicide but in Dave's POV. Let me know what you guys think. Wish me luck for tomorrow.
