Chapter 8

               Dean's P. O. V
When we got back from getting pie, Sam and I decided we'd have a talk with Alex about something very important, Sam called her down into the kitchen as I walked out to my car getting the black box with Alex's name on it out of the trunk and the little black key out of the glove compartment. "Ya know that little back key that was in the glove compartment in my car?" I asked Alex walking back in the house "Yeah" she answered looking up "Ya know how you always ask what it's for when you open said glove compartment?" I ask sitting the black box on the table "Yes" she said sounding a bit nervous "well, today you're gonna find out" I told her, unlocking the box, taking a piece of paper out, laying it face down on the table and sliding it to her.
   
                   Alex's P. O. V

"Oh my god that's the box from my dream," I said to myself feeling like I was about to puke, picking up the paper, I read it aloud
“Name: Alexis Marie Rosalie Winchester
Date of Birth: 4/1/02 Sex: Female
Mother: Rosalie E Long
Father: Dean M Winchester”
I looked up feeling sad, confused, mad, and scared "Tell me this isn't real," I said as Bobby, Cas, and Jinx came into the kitchen "no it's real, sweetheart," Dean said handing me more papers.

“Dear Alex,
        If you're reading this I'm probably dead.
I really wanted to tell you in person but I guess I never got around to it, this is your real birth certificate, when you were born Dad decided it would be smart to make a new one changing my name to his. If I'm dead, Sam, Cas, and Bobby are too more than likely. If Jinx is still with you, get all your hunting equipment and put it all in my car and go find Cole, he promised he'd help you when I'm gone, he's gonna help you get on your feet and you three will hunt together. No matter how much he gets on your nerves, don't kill him, he's all you've got for the time being. And if I'm not dead please don't kill me, I probably didn't know how to put it in words. We only kept it from you because we thought it would keep you safe but clearly not.

"Really?" I asked smiling trying to hide how I really felt "yup," Dean said popping the p. "Jinx, how long have you know?" I said looking over to her "Since we met" she said looking down "Cas?" I asked glaring at Sam and Dean "From the start" Cas answered "Bobby's know just as long as we have" Sam said sitting down "and how long has Cole known?" I asked resisting the urge to punch Dean "A year today, when I came home to my wife and son, gutted on the kitchen floor, with your last name written above their heads, in their blood" Cole said walking into Bobby's like he'd lived there for years, looking over my shoulder seeing him leaning against the door frame, looking a bit rough from what I assumed was a rather long road trip from where he was to here "What?" I asked hoping I had heard him wrong "Sarah and James are dead," he said looking forward with a cold expression "I am so sorry," I said almost in tears, forgetting about what I just read, feeling like it was my fault "don't be you didn't do it," he said looking at me. Cole is one of my best friends, hell I'd even had a crush on him since the day we met. "Cole, can I talk to you?" I asked getting up and walking outside "Alone," I said pointed towards everyone in the room but Cole "I'm the reason your family is dead," I said walking to my car, trying not to cry, Cole not far behind "I'm the reason my mom is dead, I'm the reason Jinx's parents are dead, I'm the reason every demon in hell and every Angel in heaven wants Sam, Dean, Bobby, and Cas dead they all probably want Jinx dead now too," I said getting in the car, starting it, finally letting the tears fall "No you're not! None of this is your fault!" Cole snapped getting in the car "where are we going?" he quickly asked once he realized we were moving "I wanted to go for a drive, I didn't really need to talk to you I just said that because I knew Sam and Dean wouldn't let me leave by myself" I said smiling innocently as my phone started blaring Eye of The Tiger by Survivor which just so happened to be Deans ringtone, rolling my eyes I answered knowing that if I didn't he'd keep calling "What?" I said not really wanting to talk to him "where are ya goin'? " he asked "I'm going for a drive, I'll be back no later than midnight" I answered bitterly "ok be careful" he said sounding kinda worried "always" I reassured him, feeling bad for being such a bitch when I answered.

                   Cole's P. O. V
"Dean wants to talk to you," Alex said handing me her phone, pulling me out of the daze I hadn't realized I was in. "Hey, Cole," Dean said sounding like he was about to ask me for a favor "make sure Alex doesn't do anything stupid," he said sounding serious "can ya do that?" He asked "Yeah I can do that," I said staring at Alex "Thanks," Dean said hanging up the phone "What'd he want?" Alex asked as I set her phone in the seat between us "He just told me to make sure you get home safe" I told her, which really wasn't a lie. After another 2 and a half hours of driving, we came to a little river a couple of hours away from Bobby's without traffic. Alex shut the car off and we rolled the windows and listened to the sound of the water, Alex scooted to the middle of the seat and put her feet up on the dash. Resting her head on my shoulder, I wrapped my arms around her waist "Can I tell you something?" I ask Alex "Yeah sure," she said looking up at me smiling "I like you like I really like you a lot," I said trying to avoid eye contact "I like you too but maybe we should wait to try anything until I'm a bit older," she said sounding nervous "why," I asked "because you're 20 and I'm only 16," she said sounding heartbroken by her own words "but Cas and Jinx," I said trying to get her to change her mind "Cas is 22 and Jinx is 18," she said, "Wait for what?!" She asked sounding confused "Cas and Jinx aren't they together?" I ask "No, I don't think anyway," she said, "how about we try dating and not tell anyone?" I asked "fine, but if we get caught it's all on you," she said snuggling into my chest falling asleep, after a bit I decided to get out of the car, gently laying Alex down in the seat, going around to the driver's side getting in, starting the car and heading back. Once we got back into town I called Dean telling him, we're on our way back and to have Alex's bed ready because she was asleep.

        *Time skip* Alex's P. O. V

I woke up the next morning in my room alone, there wasn't even a dog in there "please tell the time I spent with Cole wasn't a dream" I said to myself getting out of bed going downstairs, and heading to the kitchen to find everyone, even Cole at the kitchen table, the black box now on the counter. Dean was  the first to notice me "Well look who finally decided to get up" He said finishing off his coffee, pouring him another cup "Dean that's the fourth cup of coffee you've had" Sam said, "Yeah, problem?" Dean asked sitting back down "No" Sam replied "Alex, Jinx, go get your stuff ready we've got a case" Dean said reading something on Sam's laptop
      
                  Jinx's P. O. V

"So about you and Cas" Alex started "what about us?" I asked, "are you together?" She asked getting her black duffel bag out from under her bed, then turning to her dresser getting clothes to last her about a week "possibly" I started getting my navy blue duffel bag doing the same "you give me a straight answer and I'll tell you what happened between me and Cole last night" she bargained "Yes" I said answering her question about Cas and me from earlier "well that was easy" she said getting a spare pair of shoes from the closet for both of us "what happened Alex?!" I asked dying to know "omg did you get laid in your car last night?!" I asked almost too excited "OMG JINX NO!!" She yelled "Cole asked if we could try dating without telling anyone so please whatever you do, don't say anything to anyone, not even Cas," she said almost as if she was afraid Cas would kill Cole "You girls about ready?" Dean asked knocking on the door "Yeah Dad, we'll be out in a minute" Alex called back "Dad? I thought you hate him now?" I asked looking at her confused "No I don't hate him, I just thought I've given it a try" she said "And?" I asked "I could easily get used to," she said smiling as we walked down the stairs.
