Lyric quickly picked her Guitar up and adjusted her glasses on her face.
"Uh as I said, I'm sorry I'm late." She said.
"Don't let it happen again." Killian said and gestured for her to sit down. She nodded quickly and went to her chair while he began his lecture about what They would be doing in his class. Lyrics cellphone chimed in her back pocket and She sighed.
"I'm sorry I forgot to turn it off I'll Do that now." She said and pulled her phone out of her pocket. Killian walked over and took it from her.
"You can collect this at the end of the day, I don't allow phones in my class." He said. Wow he had really flipped the asshole switch.
"I'm...sorry end of day? Why not just the end of your class, the end of the day seems a little..."
"A little what? Miss..." He gestured for her to tell him.
"McKenna sir. Lyric, McKenna." She said adverting her eyes. He already knew that.
"If you have a Problem with the way I do things in my class you can take them up with the principal. I could arrange a meeting real quick." He said narrowing his eyes.
"No sir.. Sorry." Lyric said and shrunk back in her seat. He was pissed there was no doubt about it. He carried on with his lecture and they played their instruments just a little, Of course growing up with two musicians, Lyric was already steps ahead of what he was teaching but She played along and then the bell rang. She slowly packed her things away. Lyric waited until everyone else left the room before She approached him and cleared her throat.
"Yes, Miss McKenna?" He asked turning to face her.
"No one else is here.." She said looking around the room.
"I'm aware. Did you need something?" He asked. Lyric swallowed the lump rising in her throat.
"Killian.. I really need to tal-"
"You may address me as Mr. Jones." He said. "and I'm rather busy, Go to class Miss McKenna." He said.
"Right." Lyric said. "Oh. My phone.." She said.
"I said you can come and get it after school. My office will be open until 3:30."
"Oh.. Okay. Well then.. I guess.. I will see you then. Mr. Jones.." She said and hurried out of the classroom. She understood, he was probably more than a little mad, she told him she was 22, when really she was 17, They had slept together, and he served her alcohol at his bar but to act like what happened over the summer, never happened at all hurt her feelings especially since it was all she thought about day and night
Lyric sat at her lunch table, she could proudly call it hers because no one else was sitting there until, a few boys walked over and put their trays down. Lyric looked up at them and sipped at her chocolate milk.
"Hi?" She said.
"Well, Hello new girl." One of the boys said and smirked. "I'm Will, this here is Jefferson, and that's Victor." He said introducing everyone to her.
"I'm Lyric.." She said quietly.
"What was that love you're kind of Whispering." Will smiled.
"I'm Lyric." She said a little louder. "What are you doing here?"
"Will suggested that you shouldn't sit alone." Victor spoke up.
"Oh. Okay, but really.. I was fine." Lyric smiled.
"No you weren't you were sitting here with a pitiful look on your face eating whatever mystery the cafeteria has cooked up today." Will said. He wasn't wrong, she had felt pretty pathetic, and pitiful since her run in with Killian this morning.
