A/N: This is just a preview for the sequel to this book that is coming soon (As soon as I can.) I hope it tides you guys over for a little while. I go back to work next Tuesday, so my updates are possibly going to take a hit. As soon as I know my set hours and days off I will try to work out an update schedule. (Who am I kidding though Its part time retail, there is no set days and hours XD) Either way, I'm not going to stop writing its just not going to be as frequent instead of every day it may only be 2-3 times a week. But I will still be here and I promise I will not abandon ship on my stories in fact I have two brand new ones I've got going in my brain too and this Authors Note is already longer than I wanted it to be so ANYWAYS enjoy the preview, let me know what you think, if you are excited for Book two or not.

Coming soon: Bittersweet Symphony (Music in Me Part 2)

4 Years Later

Lyric walked into the smokey, loud bar and sighed. These places were much more fun when she wasn't working.
"Where have you been?" Ruby asked
"I'm sorry, my kid is sick." Lyric sighed as she walked behind the bar.
"Its fine, I covered for you." Ruby smiled.
"Thanks." Lyric replied. She wasn't sure why she wasn't friends with Ruby in high school, considering she was friends with her boyfriend Victor but Ruby turned out to be pretty cool too. She was always covering for Lyric if Lyric was late.
Lyric looked over at the stage at people setting up.
"We have a live band tonight?" She asked. Ruby shrugged.
"Live, band, some weird guy singing I don't know I didn't check the schedule. She said. Lyric laughed.
"You never do."
"When are you going to get back up there?" Ruby asked. "People loved you."
"I don't know Ruby it's not really my thing anymore." Lyric shrugged. That was a lie, Music was still her passion. She taught a small class of kids music on the weekends to help pay the bills. She could do it from home. She just hadn't really had the desire to play much herself for a couple years.
"I still think you were insane for leaving school. With your talent.." Ruby sighed.
"I didn't really have a choice. The first two years weren't so bad, but then Sym started walking, and running, and she was harder to keep up with, and you know me there are three people in the world I trust with my kid for any extended period of time, and those three people aren't always available." Lyric shrugged "Its fine. I don't need to be a master of music, I can play just fine without the fancy paper." Lyric said and walked away to go clean something before she got angry. Everytime someone mentioned her quitting Juilliard she tended to get upset. She left so she could be with her daughter, and her daughter was the most important thing in the world to her, she would quit a thousand times over again for her, but it was still a little upsetting, Lyric liked to multitask she wanted to be able to do it all, but under these circumstances she just couldn't.
"Lyric, can you bring our entertainer some water? He's in the back." her boss said.
"Yeah. Sure." Lyric said what she wanted to say was why couldn't he walk his happy ass out to the bar and get it himself, but She had dealt with a lot of these musicians around here who thought they were better than everyone else. Lyric grabbed a few bottles of water from behind the bar and walked towards the back room stopping dead in her tracks as the entertainer could be heard rehearsing.

Desperado, why don't you come
to your senses
Come down from your fences; open the gate
It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you, before it's too late

Over the last four years, Lyric had finally gotten to a place where that song wouldn't reduce her to a sobbing mess, and it wasn't the song that was getting her this time. It was the voice. She knew that voice. She hesitantly walked down the hallway towards the room where the voice was coming from. She got to the door and when she saw who it was she dropped the bottles of water on the floor.
No. No. He can not be here. The man turned around and Lyric was hit in the chest with long forgotten emotion.  He looked different than the last time she saw him. His hair was messier, and his scruff was.. Scruffier and his baby blues, were bluer?
No. Lyric. That's not possible.
"Lyric.. Love is that you?"
Killian ruined my damn life Jones. Of course it's him.
