Killian had been acting strangely since the night at the hospital. Lyric hadn't seen much of him in a couple weeks, of course she was busy at home helping her mother with the baby and Killian had said he was busy with guitar lessons and helping Liam with the bar but time was running out before Lyric would be moving to New York and she was hoping to squeeze in more time with Killian before that happened but she was getting worried.
"I'm sure you are overthinking things Lyric. You are both really busy right now." Tink said reassuring her best friend.
"I know.. It's just he's hardly even texted me." Lyric frowned. "Do you think hes.." Lyric sighed.
"Maybe he's changing his mind. Maybe he doesn't want to do the long distance thing." She said.
"Come on Lyric he wouldn't do that to you, he's nuts over you. Why don't you go see him at the bar tonight?" Tink asked.
"I could try." Lyric shrugged.
"There's only a couple weeks before we move. I just..want to make the most of it."
"Well tell him that. I'm sure he does too." Tink smiled. Lyric however wasn't so sure.
Later that evening, Lyric had decided to take Tinks advice and go see Killian at work after making sure everything was cool with her parents and the baby. She walked to the doors but the bouncer stopped her.
"Sorry Lyric. I can't let you in." He said.
"Why not?" Lyric asked.
"Boss found out I've been letting your fake ID slide. I let you in, I lose my job."
"Okay.. Fine. can you just see if Killian will come out for a second?"
"I'll try." he replied and walked inside. Lyric could have just walked in while the idiot left the door unguarded but she didn't want to cost him his job so she waited outside and eventually Killian stepped out.
"Hey." She smiled.
"Hey." Killian said. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you." Lyric shrugged. Killian sighed.
"I'm kind of busy Lyric. I'll call you later."
"Okay.. so why did you tell Mike you'd fire him if he let me in?" Lyric asked and crossed her arms.
"I didn't. Liam did. Hes cracking down on the fake IDs." Killian shrugged. Lyric rolled her eyes.
"I have a hard time believing that. Liams never given a shit whether I come in or not."
"Believe what you want Lyric. Just believe it at home. I'm busy." Killian said. His tone was cold and Lyric was taken aback.
"What is your problem?" She asked.
"I don't have a problem Lyric! Just go the fuck home!" He shouted. Lyric swallowed thickly and gave him a quick nod.
"Right. See you later." She mumbled and walked away wiping tears from her eyes.
Lyric laid in bed. Quin was on the warpath tonight and screeching every time Sarah or Darren put him down. She put her pillow over her ears and groaned and looked down at her phone as it lit up.
Killian:
I'm so sorry about earlier love..
Lyric rolled her eyes and pushed her phone away in no mood to text him back right now, she just wanted to sleep. Sleeping had been difficult with the new baby in the house and while Lyric loved her little brother she was ready to scream. Her phone lit up again.
Killian:
Please talk to me.
Lyric sighed and texted him back.
Lyric:
Why should I? Its clear you wanted me to go home, away from you.
Killian:
I didn't mean it love. Its just been a shitty night.
Lyric:
More like a shitty few weeks.. You've hardly spoken to me. I have two weeks before I move Killian..
Killian:
I know. I'm sorry.
Lyric:
Can I at least come over tomorrow? I need to sleep I can't sleep in this house with this kid.
Killian:
I've got guitar lessons all day.
Lyric:
All night too?
Killian:
No, I just figure after all the lessons I'll be tired.
Lyric:
Well thats good considering I just want to sleep! :/
Killian:
I don't want to fight right now Lyric. I just got home.
Lyric:
Right. See ya.
Killian:
Come on love..
Lyric tossed her phone aside and rolled over in bed holding her pendant that he had given her for Christmas in her hand. Why couldn't she shake the feeling that it was over?
------------------------------------------------------------
It was the day before Lyric was supposed to move. Killian was supposed to drive her up there tomorrow so they could spend time together, but she wasn't sure that was still the plan. After the yelled at her at the bar, she hadn't tried to talk to him figuring he needed his space. Tink was moving in a couple days after her. So when she did get there she'd have the new apartment to herself so Killian was going to stay. Again Lyric had no idea if that was still the plan or not. She walked around her nearly empty bedroom putting the last of her things into boxes when her phone went off.
Killian:
Finish packing and come over. I need to see you.
Lyric sighed and texted him back.
Lyric:
Okay I guess.
Darren walked into the room and looked around.
"Wow." He sighed and sat down.
"Yeah. its..so empty." Lyric said and frowned.
"Maybe leave a couple things for when you come visit yea?" Darren sniffled.
"Oh Daddy don't you start." Lyric sighed and leaned on his shoulder. Darren wrapped his arm around her and kissed the top of her head.
"And we are sure Juilliard doesn't offer online classes?" He asked. Lyric laughed.
"Positive Dad." She said. "I'm going to Killians later to figure out what the plan is. Can I take the car? I'll bring it back in the morning before I go."
"You're actually driving?" Darren laughed.
"Yeah Well I gotta take my stuff over to put in his car if he's still taking me He's been... busy." Lyric shrugged.
"Okay. Well.. have dinner with us before you go. Okay?" Darren asked.
"Of course." Lyric smiled and wiped a tear from her father's eyes.
"I'm not leaving forever you know."
"I know. It just feels that way." Darren smiled.
Lyric had finished dinner with her parents and put the last box of her stuff in the back of the car. Darren handed her the keys.
"See you in the morning?" He asked.
"Yep. in the morning." Lyric smiled and got in the car and started it driving to Killians.
Lyric knocked on the door and waited for him to open it. As soon as the door was opened Lyric stepped inside and the door was slammed shut by her body being pushed against it. Killian's lips were all over her. Lyric wasn't even complaining. She had missed his touch so much that she didn't dare interrupt him. He put his arms around her and lifted her carrying her to the bedroom.
"God I've missed you." She breathed as he laid her gently on the bed.
"I've missed you too." Killian said. Lyric pulled her tank top over her head and unhooked her bra tossing it aside. Killian unbuttoned her cut off shorts and pulled them and her panties off in one go and made quick work of peeling his own clothes off.
"I love you. So much." He said as he pressed his lips over every inch of her body that he could.
"I love you too." Lyric smiled at him and cupped his face in her hands as he settled himself on top of her.
Lyric didn't know where Killian had been hiding all of this passion for a year, but that night he made love to her like he was never going to see her again and it was incredible, he didn't stop until either of them couldn't move and they just laid tangled in each others arms.
"Where did that come from?" Lyric asked.
"I don't know love." Killian chuckled and kissed her forehead. "You okay?"
"I am perfectly okay. I am better than okay." Lyric giggled and blushed. "I'm sorry I didn't talk to you after the bar."
"No love.. I'm sorry. Its okay. It really is." Killian smiled and nuzzled into her. "You still want me to take you to New York?"
"Yeah. I do." Lyric said and yawned.
"Okay love. Sleep. We have to get up in 4 hours." He chuckled.
"Okay." Lyric smiled and snuggled into him eventually drifting to sleep. Killian held her, and watched her sleep knowing, he'd never see it again he stayed awake trying to hold back tears.
After driving the car back to her parents house, Lyric and Killian made the lengthy drive to New York. They were just a few hours out now and the ride had been quiet mostly and Lyric couldn't help but feel a sense of impending doom. Something wasn't right.
That was more so confirmed by Killians silence as they made it to Lyric's new apartment in New York and Killian helped her unpack the car and quietly bring things in. Once everything was inside. Lyric strolled over to him and smiled reaching up to kiss his lips but he turned his head.
"What's wrong?" Lyric asked.
"Just tired." Killian said and gave her a sad smile.
"Well, we can go to bed if you want. Its late." Lyric smiled.
"I'm.. Uh.. I'm not staying Lyric." Killian said he wouldn't even look at her. Something was definitely wrong.
"Why? I thought you were staying until Tink moved in." Lyric frowned.
"I..can't." Killian said.
"Why?" Lyric asked.
"Lyric.. This.. isn't going to work." Killian said.
"What do you mean?" Lyric asked her voice cracked.
"I mean.. The long distance, its just not what I want." Killian said. Lyric shook her head.
"You.. no. You promised me! You promised me that you were in this for the long run!" Lyric cried.
"I changed my mind." Killian sighed.
"No.. Why? Why would you do this? Why did you have sex with me last night? Why did you bring me here? Just to leave me?!" Lyric demanded.
"Because I knew you wouldn't have come if I didn't bring you, and I'm not letting you fuck up your future over me."
Lyric was sobbing now.
"Killian please. We'll figure it out.. I love you."
Killian clenched his fists and turned away from her. It had to be a clean break. Sleeping with her last night was not what he intended but once he started he couldn't stop.
"I Have to go." He said sadly.
Lyric shook her head.
"Please. Don't go." She begged him. Killian sighed heavily. He knew if he looked at her, just for one second he would take back everything and stay. So he shook his head. Lyric walked over to him and hugged him.
"Killian please. I love you so much." She cried. He couldn't handle it. He was so angry, not with her but with the situation and that anger came out in the worst way possible. He grabbed her shoulders and shoved her off of him so hard that she fell onto the floor.
"Fucking stop, Lyric! Its Over!" He shouted.
She looked up at him. Her lip trembled, tears fell out of her eyes and she was just in shock that he had pushed her like that. What had she done to make him suddenly feel this way. Killian sighed and turned around he had to leave before he made it worse.
"Goodbye Lyric." He said quietly as he walked out of the apartment. He stood outside the door pressing his head against it. Unable to stop the tears now. He loved her more than life itself but he would not be responsible for destroying her future. So he had to remove himself from it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few weeks later, Lyric sat in the bathroom of the apartment sobbing and looking down at a positive pregnancy test.
Her finger hovered over Killian's name in her cell phone before she picked up the phone and threw it at the wall screaming. How could he leave her like this? Especially now. Her heart was shattered and she would be damned if she ever let him hurt her again, or this child.

9 Months later.
"Push Lyric!" The doctors instructed as Lyric let out a blood curdling scream and pushed with everything she had in her until she heard the baby crying.
"You did it!" Tink smiled as she stood beside her best friend. "Look, there she is. Your baby." Tink said as the doctor smiled and put the wrapped up infant in her arms. Lyric cried and looked down at the dark haired baby girl in her arms. She smiled.
"Welcome to the world my little Symphony." She said softly kissing the infant on the head.A/N: Comment and let me know what you think! Like I said, there is a sequel coming. I'll have a preview for it published later! <3 Thank you!
