So today, I finally lost it with the two other girls in my construction group. I've had enough. What happened was we were all working on our final report together. We had some 30 pages of work compiled from the past three months. And since we were only allowed to hand in 15 pages, I figured it's time to cut some words out.
But boy was I wrong. The other two girls flipped out at me after I deleted a simple paragraph. 'Well, I don't know how we are going to get this down to 15 pages if you wouldn't let me cut anything.' I said before standing up and leaving.
So now it's almost 11 pm and I have since stopped replying to the group chat altogether. I usually hate giving people the silent treatment but this time, I am enjoying it. I have never seen so much disorganization and disrespect for other people's ideas in a group context. And seriously, why make a big deal out of one school project? Go get some real-life experience.
Thank gosh it's the last part of the project and I will never (hopefully) have to work with those two ever again. That was the last straw so mark my words.
And as for Toby and Josef, they are surprisingly chill about it and have been putting up with the other two better than I have. Blair and I have since started a group chat with Toby and Josef and without the other two girls to talk about the project.
As for other news, today I found out my research proposal was rejected again. And even worse, Dr. T's summer intern funding application was rejected as well. So much for science - what the hell is the government doing cutting down all the funding??? Anyway. I actually didn't feel anything much because I was mainly excited for Montreal. I'll figure out how to make money for school after my 'vacation'.
I also found out Addie and Mark will be visiting Montreal a week before my program starts. Perfect, I can head to Montreal early and hang out with them for a few days before the courses start. I have also set up a plane ticket price tracker on Google flights, hoping to get a $400 deal for the round trip!
