SATURDAY
[ ALLISON'S POV ]

My fingers hesitated to type on the keyboard of my phone; not knowing how to start this conversation.

Today is the last day him and I are gonna be together. Well, today it ends.

Not in a negative manner like our previous break up, or so I hope.

I hope this is peaceful, we both need it.

6:10am

6:13am

6:14am

6:19am

6:21am
bby e: you're scaring me

6:22am
me: just meet me at the beach

6:23am
bby e: okay

My eyes shut as my fingers clicked the off button on my phone. I sat still taking in a deep breath, then exhaling.

"What did he say?" Taylor's raspy voice asked me while she turned over in her bed to look at me.

"He's meeting me for the sunrise." I told her while taking my covers off my body; exposing me to the cold air.

"What is it with you two and sunrises?" A small smile crossed over her face.

My heart sunk to my feet as I remembered the first sunrise we ever watched together.

We took the trip down to the watering hole; when Ethan wanted to make things up to me.

He pulled me up onto the abandoned bus that we found in the woods.

It was the first sunrise I had watched since my mom passed away.

I remember being so uncomfortable with him, unsure if he was going to hurt me, but he didn't.

He held me tight and let me cry to him.

That was the first time I saw good in him.

It was the first time I got nervous around him in a positive way.

It was the first time I feared that I'd fall for him.

"It's our thing." The corner of my mouth curved upwards slightly from thinking about the memories.

I walked to my drawer grabbing a white sweatshirt with leggings and black vans.

I changed quickly so I wouldn't be late-also grabbing my phone off of the charger.

"I believe in you, Allison. It's going to hurt, but just remember it's for your own health." Taylor's told me while she watched me walk to the door.

I nodded, "I'll see you later."

_______
6:52am

I walked on the uneven sand making my way down the beach.

My eyes caught onto his car that was parked on the sand; he was sitting on top of it facing the ocean.
