THE DAY
[ ETHAN'S POV ]

I woke up hearing my bedroom door creak open causing my eyes to jump open.

Grayson stood in the doorway, holding onto the door knob with his eyes on me.

I gave him a confused look as to why he was standing in my room so early in the morning.

He nodded his head, "it's time, bud."

Those three words made my entire body drop realizing exactly what he meant.

"I'll be down in a second." I told him letting my body still wake up and process that she is really leaving.

Without saying anything, he walked out of my room and shut my door behind him; he knows this is gonna be rough on me.

I turned my head towards the ceiling taking in a large breath into my lungs, then exhaling deeply.

My body rolled out of bed and walked towards my closet.

I put on light blue ripped jeans with a black short sleeve shirt that fit just right over my arms. I slid on my white converse before walking into the bathroom.

I brushed my teeth quickly, then washing my mouth with mint mouth wash.

After I was done, I ran my fingers through my hair trying to tame it and make it not look as messy.

My eyes traveled down to my face seeing how much dread was hidden inside of my facial expression.

My hands gripped onto the counter as I breathed lightly.

She is really leaving me, for a year. Three hundred and sixty five days until I get to see her again.

I can't just visit her either. She's still not ready to get back together with me.

She's living out her dream though.

Writing is truly something she's passionate about and she's getting to publish her own book.

That's insane.

I walked out of my bathroom being sure to shut the light off before heading down stairs.

The house was filled with silence while the sun shined through all of the windows brightening up all of the rooms.

I could hear the muffled talking from outside and that's when it all hit me.

I bit onto my bottom lip while walking to the front door. I opened it, walking outside, then shutting it behind me.

Her taxi to the airport was parked on the street while Grayson, Taylor and Jeff were all talking with her saying their goodbyes.

As I walked to them, I admired her thin long hair that was flowing lightly in the breeze. She was wearing a white tee-shirt crop top with black leggings and white high top Nike's. Her face complexion was glowing making her look like nothing, but an angel. Her tan skin set a beautiful tone for her body. She is perfect.

Her eyes caught onto me making her facial expression drop.

Everyone noticed causing their heads to turn towards me as I fully reached them.

"Hey, Ethan." Jeff patted my shoulder.

"Hey." I greeted back turning my attention to Ally.

Just by looking at her, I could tell this was going to be just as painful for her as it was going to be for me.
