"I don't want to be a charity case."

"Yeah I get it. Maybe just trust your heart? I don't know I'm bad at advice." I rambled.

"Well I have been wanting to do something." Shawn told me.

I raised an eyebrow, "Oh yeah and what's that?"

He turned to look ahead, he was just staring at the road. Shawn looked like he was contemplating what he was gonna ask or do. That made me even more nervous than him just doing it.

"What? You're making me nervous." I told him.

He chuckled, "Sorry I didn't mean to make it dramatic..I just..I wanted to know if you could help me with something."

"Depends on what it is." I said with a smile which caused him to give me that smile I loved.

"I realized you are the one person who hasn't tried to help me get my memory back. You are so calm and collected too, you haven't picked a fight with anyone. Not even Sara when you knew she was lying to me, why?" He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders, "Guess it was almost like a do over for you. If I had the chance to have a do over I would use it. I didn't want to force you to remember anything unless you asked. I can't imagine what you must've felt like when you found out you couldn't remember the last two months."

"And that's what I want you to help me with. I don't want to remember things I can't, I want to just make new memories. To truly embrace a do over, and I can't do that if everyone I know and love are forcing me to remember things I can't." Shawn confessed.

I nodded slowly, "So you want me to help you get the others to stop trying to bring back the 2 months ago Shawn and embrace the new one? Hmm I don't know, they seem like they're having a lot of fun playing the memory game."

"Please? If I were to tell them they will think I don't want to remember. I do I just can't, it's harder to remember than it is to move on." He told me.

He sounded exhausted, it's only been a few weeks since he woke up. Since he lost his memory I can't imagine what it's like to be him. To see everyone trying to shove memories down your throat begging you to remember.

"Fine I'll help you, way to play the guilt card." I joked.

"I didn't mean to I was just saying th-"

"Chill our shawn I know, it was a joke." I laughed.

He nodded his head, "Right, well I got a new phone since the old one broke in the crash. I was hoping we could go back to being friends?"

"Is this your way of asking for my number?" I asked with a smirk.

"Yeah." He laughed.

He handed me his phone and I entered my number. After I was done I handed him back his phone before gathering my things.

"Thanks for the ride, it certainly beat walking." I told him.

I got out and closed the door behind me. I then walked up the stairs to the front door and unlocked it. I turned back around and seen him give me a smile and wave before he drove away. I walked inside my cold and empty house before shutting the door behind me.

I went upstairs and laid on my bed feeling happy. I haven't been since the accident but now I am completely happy. Sure nothing really happened, Shawn didn't say he remembered me. But he wants my help and wants to talk to me, it sounds odd but things could actually go back to normal.
