Indy's POV

Madison had sat with us at lunch again. Apparently she tried being friends with Hannah but failed miserably. I'm not surprised. I honestly feel sorry for her, Hannah is awful... and also my chemistry partner.

"So are you going to actually help with this, or just sit they're and make googly eyes at Jake all lesson?" I roll my eyes. Jake is the school's 'it' boy. Captain of the football team, somewhat pleasing to the eye. A total jerk though, nonetheless.

"Ugh, whatever Holmes." Hannah scoffs, turning around.

"Let's just get this over with, so we can both get on with our lives." I say, pulling out some notes I took last night.

"Gladly." She smiles sarcastically before pulling out her laptop.

"Madison and Harry make a pretty cute couple, I must say." She smirks, lifting the the top of her laptop and turning it on.

"They're not together." I assure her.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive." I reply flatly.

"I don't know, did you see the way he was looki-"

"Hannah." I say sternly, "drop it."

Does she ever know when to shut her mouth?

"Okay, okay, calm down." She replies.

After a few seconds of silence, waiting for her computer to load, she speaks up again.

"You've got it bad."

Got what bad? What on earth is she rabbiting on about now?

"Hmm?" I ask impatiently, not caring about whatever the heck she's talking about now.

"Jealously." She states simply.

"I'm not quite sure I follow?" I question, still completely unsure of what she's getting at here. Jealousy? What about it?

"Oh come on Indy don't play dumb, you're crazy about curly over there," she says nodding in Harry's direction, "and you don't like the fact that he's with her." She says, obviously referring to Madison.

Jealous of Madison?

"I am not jealous! Harry and I are just friends, and so are him and Madison." I defend. "How many times do I have to tell you? I don't, and never will, have feelings for Harry." I say sternly.

Harry's POV

"How many times do I have to tell you? I don't, and never will, have feelings for Harry."

Ouch.

Now I wish I hadn't been listening in on her conversation. It's hard to hear from the other side of the room, so I only caught the last part, but I wish I hadn't even heard that much.

I know Indy obviously doesn't have feelings for me, but hearing the words fall from her lips make my heart sink. I am, and always will be, just her friend, nothing more, nothing less.

"Harry? Hello? Earth to Harry?" I'm brought out of my thoughts by the sound of Madison's voice.

I shake my head, and snap my eyes up to meet her gaze,

"Sorry. I was uh... thinking." I mumble.

"It's okay, I was just asking if maybe we could meet up sometime after school again? I don't think we're going to get this finished in time otherwise." She says, gesturing to the pile of papers scattered in front of us.
