Indy's POV

"If you could be doing anything right now, what would it be?" Harry asked me, his eyes fixed straight ahead as we headed towards our lockers.

"hmm.." I paused, thinking for a moment.

"I would be... in Australia riding a kangaroo!" I exclaimed excitedly. Ahh if only.. I've always wanted to visit Australia and cuddle koala bears and ride kangaroos and all that. Not to mention that's where Brenton Thwaites is from and, do I even need to explain myself any further?

Harry burst into a fit of uncontrolled laughter at my response, and if he'd had water in his mouth, it'd probably be sprayed everywhere right now.

"You'd what?" He exclaimed, gasping for air.

I shrugged with a grin, "Yeah, why not? It sounds like fun if you ask me."

What? I know he secretly wants to, too.

"Indy, I don't think people actually do that." he said as though he were telling me Santa wasn't real, his voice letting me down easy. But I'm sure you can, he wouldn't know anyway being from England and all.

"Sure they do, I saw it on a movie." I argued.

"Right, you saw it on a movie. Must be real then." He rolled is eyes with a grin.

"Exactly!" I exclaimed, even though his sarcasm was quite obvious.

Harry chuckled, looking down at me with a dimpled grin, "It's never boring around you is it?"

"Nope, I'm the most interesting person I know." I said matter-of-factly returning his smile.

"Next you're going to tell me you're the most modest too."

"Yes, actually. I am." I replied seriously seriously.

Harry shook his head, "Full of it, Indiana Holmes. Absolutely full of it."

I shrugged as we continued towards our lockers, the walk hardly silent considering the noisy school environment we were in. My bag was thumping against my back with every step and I don't know why I even have one anyway, considering we have lockers

Were they always this far away?

"Hm, so I'm thinking..." I said, looking up at Harry.

"What?" he raided an eyebrow.

"You should really carry my bag for me." I smirked, pulling it off my shoulders and extending it in his direction.

Harry shook his head, "Absolutely not."

"Please?"

"Not a chance." he laughed, as he continued walking.

"But it's really heavy." I whined, stopping in my tracks. "Which is exactly why I'm not carrying it." Harry counted.

"Ugh, you're so annoying." I huffed, placing my bag back on my back and following after him. It was worth a try.

"Really?" he asked with a smirk.

"Mhmm." I nodded. "But I can live with it, as long as you-"

"Harry!" an annoyingly familiar voice interrupted me. Harry groaned throwing his head back. Since he had walked out on Madison 3 weeks ago at Starbucks he'd been trying his best to avoid her, and so far it seemed to be working. Until now...

"Madison." Harry turned around with a fake smile plastered across his face.

"Are you alright? You just left and I haven't seen you since. Did something happen?" she asked worriedly. Man you would think you'd be pretty pissed if I guy asked you to Starbucks then ditched you, but apparently not Madison. Harry let's her and all she's worried about is him.

"Um yeah," He scratched the back of his neck. "Sorry about that... I had to um- do something. But you know what I'm late for class so we better go, right Inds?" He looked down at me.

"Right." I nodded with fake grin. "Let's go!" I said, hooking my hand through his elbow and dragging him away.

"Bye!" I called over my shoulder with a wave. I don't know what it is about Madison, but she is one person I can not stand.

"I kinda feel bad." Harry murmured once we walked away. "It's not her fault I was an idiot."

"What do you mean?" I asked. She was the one basically been throwing herself at him even after everything.

"Well like, I was a total dick to you that day, and it's not like it was Maddie's fault or anything. She hasn't done anything wrong, other than being a little clingy sometimes, so I don't know why I'm avoiding her now. I was only with her to make you-" He stopped himself suddenly, cutting his sentence short.

To make me what? Make me like her more? Make us friends? Make me jealous? Ha, yeah right, like he'd want to make me jealous of Madison. Then what?

"To make me what, Harry?"

"Nothing." he replied dismissively.

"Oh no, no, no. I'm not letting this one slide Styles, not this time. Spill." I said firmly, crossing my arms over my chest.

"I forgot what I was saying." He shrugged.

'Forgot what I was saying' my ass.

"You were only hanging out with Madison because..." I started off for him, even though I knew he hadn't forgotten at all.

"I was just hanging out with her because she was nice, and looked like she could use a friend." Harry said, not sounding to convincing. But I let it go anyway. Maybe he really was trying to be nice and keep her company, and I was just being paranoid and looking into this too much.

"If you so say." I sighed, realising we'd finally reached our lockers.

"So are you still up for maccas and board games tonight?" Harry asked me, opening his locker?

"Depends, are you still up for getting your ass kicked?"

wow this chapter was ssooOooOoo0oOOo short and boring so I might consider doing a double update.. ;-))

okay so when I started writing this book, it was because I wanted to write not because I had too. This should be something I enjoy doing, not a chore or something I'm forced to do like school, so that's why this update was so slow because recently I haven't been motivated to write and I also had an awful writers block so yeahhh, sorry everyone.

I'm just letting you know that sometimes I can't update regularly because I'm busy, or I feel like its another job to do idk haha

sorry guyssssss
THANKS FOR ALMOST 5k reads!!! 🎉🎉
