Chapter 12- Laser Tag

I ran upstairs and grabbed my stuff. I wore my new favorite dress with my leggings and a purple cardigan. I strapped my sword to my belt and felt proud to look normal. I did grab my helmet though. In case, you know, something happened, because I haven't lost any precaution. Tails had given all of us earpieces, as some 'safety tool', but I think it was because he didn't want to give us walkie talkies.
I put on my earpiece and tuned in. "Why hello, Tails." I said. Ciara came in and sighed as she heard Deltas voice in the earpiece. "You know everyone can hear you right?" She radioed back. "Dang. Sorry, I meant everyone. Hello everyone." I corrected. Ciara snickered.
As you can see, I've lost my...sharpest...edge from not being battle ready. And I need to re-sharpen that edge. "Hey Ciara?" I asked. "Mm'?" She replied. "Will you attack me? No weapons." She stared at me. "Why?" "I need to keep my battle edge before I become to relaxed."
"Sometimes I really don't understand you Delta"she sighed, "but I guess that's a good idea for both of us."
I smiled and got into a battle stance. "Ready?" She nodded. "Now!" We launches at each other. I pushed her to the ground, but she kicked me off. Suddenly, I felt an itch to unsheathe my sword. It's working!
I tackled her and pinned her down. I growled and she managed to slip free. I ran back and ran at her, doing a flying kick at the end, but not too hard. She stumbled back, laughing. I was about to come at her again, but the door swung open, revealing Sonic. "What on Mobius are you two doing!?" He exclaimed and leaned on the door. "Um..practicing." Said Ciara. I nodded and sat down. He sighed and left. "Close the door!" Ciara yelled. "Meh."
We went downstairs and saw the regular gang of mobians in the kitchen, consisting on Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Rouge, Amy, Knuckles, Espio and Tails. "Hey! We're going to do laser tag! Wanna come?" That was Tails. "Sure." Ciara and I said and went up to the group. "Let's go then!" Said Sonic and he dashed off outside. "Wait up Sonic!" Squeak Amy as she ran out to catch up. The rest of us with sense stayed behind and walked to the Laser Tag Arena.
I walked beside the girls, but didn't talk much. I was thinking about that flashback. 'Beware of the darkness that lurks beneath.' What the hell did that mean. 'As the star and the earth connect, in gets closer.' That too? 'The cats inner souls shall play with you like pawns, and will have the shadow under her finger.' That made sense because of all the Hantu crap and CiaraxShadow. But what did the first parts mean?
By the time that thought reaches my head we were inside the arena, putting on vests. I've never played laser tag. "Do we get partners" I whispered to Ciara. "I don't think so." So we ran into the game area and separated.
On my own, I did a 360 in my hiding spot, then crouched down. I heard footsteps shortly after and saw Amy dashing through the clearing. I shot her quickly and hid again. Amy yelled, "dang it!" And ran for cover. I smirked and looked around again. No one. I scaled the wall and hid in a corner, where a long wall was. I back up slowly. Then, I ran into soft fur and jumped out of my skin. I whipped around to see Silver, in almost the exact same pose. My heart pounded as I looked at him. Was he gonna shoot me? Instead, he said, "Wanna be partners?" I smiled, sort of confused, and nodded.
And so, together, we ran out from behind the wall and found another hiding spot. Ciara was creeping along the wall silently. Silver shot her and yelled, "Hah!" I spotted Sonic dashing about and got him point blank in the chest. I snickered as he stopped in his tracks and looked around. Suddenly, the lights came on. "Please exit now." A electronic voice called. Silver and I got out of our hiding place laughing. "That was fun!" He said. I nodded and took off my vest. "No fair!" Said Sonic. "You partnered up!"
"No one said we couldn't." I retorted. Sonic huffed and walked away. We all gathered at the entrance and chatted for a while. Silver and I were talking about how he found out Ciara was his sister. "It turns out that she's my twin, but three years younger than me." "That's cool. I wonder how they preserved her age.." I wondered aloud. Silver nodded. "I know.
We were about to leave when a rumbling started. It got gradually more violent. I fell to the ground and cut my arm, the one that was broken before, deep. Pieces of rumble fell from the ceiling.
  I yelped as my cut started to sting badly. I tried to find Silver but couldn't see him. All I could hear was some shouting belonging to Shadow and Knuckles. Then a huge hole opened up from beneath us and swallowed us all.
