Chapter 25- What?

(Holy crap there's so many chapters- I think my limit will be 35-40 guys lol)

   >Silvers POV<

   I yawned after a good nights sleep. Today is the day. We will be exploring Quadrant A. I got up and rubbed my eyes. Walking over to the small kitchen, I grabbed a granola bar and sat down. I unwrapped the granola bar loudly, and I half expected Shadow to come and punch me cause it woke him up.
   Well, luckily that didn't happen. Nobody seemed disturbed as I sat there, staring into space, eating my granola bar at the table. Ciara walked in about 15 minutes later. I had finished my breakfast and was just sitting there. "You ok bro?" She says, waving her hand in front of my face.
I shuttered, blinking a few times. "Yeah. Just lost in thought." I sighed. She sat down at the table with a bowl of cereal.
  "Alrighty lads and lasses!" Roche stomped in, knocking over a cup. "We're leaving in 10 minutes! Get ready!" Shadow stumbled into the kitchen. "What!?" Ciara chuckled. Sucette slipped in, as if she'd been awake for hours, followed by Sonic. "Woohoo! Time to explore!" She skipped around the kitchen in circles. Ciara rolled her eyes.
I quietly laughed and looked over at Roche, who was raiding the pantry. He tossed an apple at Sucette, Sonic, and Shadow. "Eat it." Shadow put the apple on the counter silently, not even willing to take a bite. Sucette gobbled it up, and tossed the core in the trash, Sonic doing the same.
Soon everyone was ready to go. Roche used his power to create a portal to an alleyway. "Come on then, jump through." Everyone filed into a line and jumped through the portal. I jumped through after Shadow, and suddenly stumbled onto a rough pavement. The morning sunlight flooded through the alley, making it less spooky.
Roche was already walking away, out of the alley and onto the street. Soon, Sonic has jumped through, and the portal closed. We all ran to catch up, and were greeted to waves of mobians on the sidewalk.
I floated above the crowd, using my telekinesis to make Sonic and Sucette float over everyone. Shadow just pushed his way through the crowd. Ciara also floated above, scanning the crowd for Roche. "There!" She shouts, startling the people below her. She points to a corner, and I saw Roche snickering. I set Sonic and Sucette down there and fly over.
Shadow finally made his way through the crowd, holding his fist as if he had punched someone. He probably had. One of his quills were bent too. I snickered, his appearance hilarious. Shadow scowled at me and crossed his arms.
Roche smiled. "Come on, gather your research or whatever." Ciara shook her head. "We are exploring, not researching." Roche nodded. "Got it." He continued on his way and didn't stop. Everyone looked up at the huge buildings. There were only skyscrapers.
After a while, we heard shouting down another alley, and several grunts. Everyone pricked their ears, other the Roche. "Ignore it. Just a street fight." He said bluntly. But I can't listen to mobians getting hurt. None of us can. Ciara motioned for us to follow her. We were led through a dark alley, and then we saw the fight.
A mobian held two daggers in their hand. They wore a hooded black cloak, hiding any features. Suddenly, the mobian shouted. "Do not steal!" Their voice was feminine. I felt like I recognized it, but threw the thought away. She isn't alive. She tackled the mobian she shouted at, throwing punches. The mobian being attacked scrambled backwards, and ran off in the other direction.
Suddenly the female mobian unsheathed a sword and pointed it in our direction. She slowly pinpointed Sucette, who whimpered. "Who are you?"
The mobians voice was firm and menacing. S-she can't be alive.
The mobian growled, tightning her grip on the sword. "S-Sucette the Lynx!!" Sucette cried.  I saw the gears in Ciara's brain click. "I'm Ciara!" She blurted. She glance at the others. "I'm Sonic!" The azul cried. "I'm Shadow." The mobian didnt falter.
"I'm Silver!" I tried a smile. The mobian stood there for a moment, then sheathed her sword and ran. "After her!" Cried Ciara. We chased her, out of the alley and onto the sidewalk. She ran into an alley and swung up onto a fire escape. I willed myself to fly up onto the roof, followed by Ciara.
The mobian stood on the roof, nowhere to go. Her cloak blew along with the wind, and she turned to face us. Her hood hid her face, casting a shadow over her eyes. Slowly, she lifted her hood.

And there she was.

"I-I.." Stuttering, I stepped forward. Delta stepped back, disbelief in her eyes. "You...you're here? After all this time?" She cried. "I thought you all would never come! And just as get over you...you come back?!" She spat. "It's been 5 years, 5 years since I saw your faces. Since the pain hit me. A-and now you c-casually show u-up like noth-nothing ever h-happened?" Tears streamed down her cheeks as she look at me, then to Ciara.

"Delta..It hasn't been...years.." Said Ciara, avoiding her gaze. She must have known. She must have. "Its been a month."

Delta widened her eyes. "Impossible...I've been looking for a way out of the tunnels for years...they told me."

"Who told you?" I finally said.

Delta looked at me, her eyes clouded with a mixture of grief and relief. "Well, I've never seen them..but they speak to me sometimes, whispering in my ear."

I was still confused. My eyes were wide, and my heart raced. 'She isn't dead..she never was..'

"I'll be right back..." I murmured before floating down to the others on the ground. "Who is she?" said Sonic. I looked at the group. Roche had found us, but Sucette was gone. "Where's.." I began before Shadow cut me off.

"Sucette? She chickened out. Took the device with her." Shadow scowled. "What?" I said, disbelievingly. Shadow nodded. "Lad, ya neva said who the cloaked lassy was." I looked at him. "Oh, right."

"Um...uh its...its....Delta.." I said, my heart still racing. Shadow nodded, as if he also had known, but Sonic stood there, mouth agape. "Delta? She's de-" Shadow shot him a warning look. "Go look up there if you want. She's...different." Sonic dashed up the fire escape. shadow looked at me. "How, so?"

"I don't know...she seems, pushed to do things, as if someone tells her to say the things she says." Shadow shrugged. "I don't know, Silver. Could be the experience that she had."

I sighed. I really hope that was it.
