>Shadows POV<

I leaped through the portal at the last minute. As I got up, I brushed off my quills and turned to Silver.
He was hugging his knees to his chest, eyes half-closed, dazed, and was mumbling something. I sighed and turned back to face the others. They were acting unfazed, like nothing had happened. The only ones that were not smiling and jumping around consisted of Ciara, Silver, and me.
The three of us stayed back, partly because Silver was probably so dazed he couldn't move. Ciara cast a worried glance at her brother. But I continued to look on over at the others.
It'll hit them sooner or later. "We're HOME!!" Cried Amy, as if she had been through something earth rattling horrid. I rolled my eyes, it probably wasn't that bad. Then my eyes trailed to Tails, who was mentally counting everyone. Here it comes.
His eyes trailed over the group in front of him. Amy. Rouge. Knuckles. Espio. Sonic. His eyes came to us. Ciara. He looked at me and I nodded slightly. He nodded back and continued.
His brow furrowed, and his eyes widened. He looked frantically at the rest of the group, who still had their backs facing away, chattering away to each other.
"Silver?" He asked the sodden hedgehog. The rest of the group turned around, and their smiles faded. "Are you ok?" Ask Amy. She scanned the crowd, and her hand swung to her mouth, not seeing Delta. But she surprisingly kept her mouth shut.
It came to me that they didn't know that Silver had feelings for Delta. I wasn't about to let his secret out this way, and I was about to butt in before this turned to mayhem. But Ciara had the same idea. "He's probably dazed from the traveling. Shadow and I will get him inside." I nodded and walked over to Silver. "Cmon bud.." I said quietly. He didn't budge. Sighing, I looked over at Ciara. She looked back and caught my drift. She used her telekinesis to bring him to a standing position, then she gripped his arm tight and walked into the house, as we had arrived outside.
We led him upstairs into a random room, not caring whose. Ciara led him to a bed, where he sat and stared at the ground. Ciara rubbed her temples. "Damn it, Silver, speak!" I looked at her, surprised she was angry, of all things. I couldn't blame Silver...if I had lost Ciara..
Shaking my head, pricked my ears when I heard Silvers voice, a little louder, but still quiet. "She's...gone.."
Ciara looked at the ground. "Well, you know...shes in a better place. With her old friends, if they are gone too." Obviously she had no practice in this, as her voice shook.
He continued to look down. And God, I've never seen him look so sorrowful before. I saw him blink a few times before he said, "Okay, I think I'll see the others now." I nodded and Ciara smiled slightly. I got up and walked out, the others trailing behind.

The others were inside, along with everyone else that was normally at the place. I came over to the others from the strange journey and explained. "As we were leaving, the earth split, and Delta fell in. We tried to save her.." I trailed off.
I looked around to see the reaction. Silver was obviously trying to hide his misery, but was failing. Amy kept glancing at Silver, as if she had a secret that would make her head explode if she didn't tell.
